Perhaps the office staff were bored...

...but at least they spotted this going on outside:

Years ago, I used to work for Enterprise Rent a Car and you could guarantee that on a Monday morning, some oik who'd rented a group A car, with the full insurance package, on a Weekend Special, would have run it up the arse end of his mate's car.  "He had to brake hard when a kid ran out" was the sort of excuse given, of course.

It wasn't long before the company wised up to it.
Matt

A very clever criminal there; committing crimes in the same spot on numerous occasions.

Not his only mistake.  He bought a Lincoln Navigator.
Chris M Wants a V-10

T'was on the news this evening on TV when I was watching.  The office staff even took photos after some of the accidents, and the bloke was wearing the same clothes in most of them! Almost unbelievable

I used to work for Enterprise too, also a long time ago (just when they arrived in the UK in fact)
Humphrey The Pug

He made 46k over three years, hardly makes it worth it.

the other article Gurney posted had 8million as the figure, though it seems that mostly went to the claimants?

Bradford is a terrible place to drive. I learnt to drive there. And by learnt, I meant I passed my test elsewhere and began my driving career in Bradford. The absolute worst drivers are the older Asian women. They have no spatial awareness, no clue of their speed and a general air of menace.

I was always baffled by the younger women driving with Burkas on. Surely that must seriously limit your peripheral vision? Driving an ageing Nissan Micra, you need all the peripheral vision you can get...

Wakefield was the branch I worked at.  Was only there 3 months before I joined the police.  Was good fun in that short time with some great colleagues.  T'was 1997.
