There was a similar story there although I don't think the kid got taken into care as the mother threatened to sit on a social worker (or something) boc70 That quote was from the father though.  It doesn't mention his weight - he could be skinny as a rake for all we know.  Being last in the household race to the fridge mightn't help either. I watched a documentary a while back on men who like fat women and feed them up to such an extent that they can't leave the house they are so big, they then like waiting on them and doing everything for them, it's something to do with having control over the women.
