Paris

Trip to Paris for a few days last week, where me and Tara got engaged up the Eiffel Tower.  I couldn't think of a better place or city to do it in.

The weather helped, but here are some pics of a great city.

First off. Cars. Looks what Citroen could make if they put their minds to it! Concepts from about 2005, which look great.  The showroom on the Champ Elysees is also very impressive. Just a shame about their current range.

I really like Paris.  Some great pictures, looks like you had great weather, lucky for this time of year.

Congratulations to you both!

Great news, congratulations

Already said that in person but may as well say it here, too!

It's like death and taxes - it is inevitable: a woman will eventually break your heart or your wallet or in some cases both.

Well done, and a good choice of destination - it's where we went!

Was that an orange Gallardo I saw?

+1

Went to Paris for my (our, I suppose) honeymoon; looks much the same in your pics as it did in 1990! The views from the top of the tower are fantastic, though I think the "trouble" getting up there puts a lot of people off. Thankfully!

Not been to Paris, despite liking France a great deal, my wife went there a few years ago and reckoned it was a shit hole - still, we all have different tastes.

I've not been for many years but my sister goes every year for her wedding anniversary and stays at the same hotel. They both love it and now take the kids.
My brother-in-law loves a deal and a haggle but met his match with one of the cartoonists who do caricatures. They guy stated his price for the two kids, he tried to haggle and the cartoonist just stood up, said a firm "non", picked up his easel and walked off, leaving my brother-in-law running after him, waving 20 Euro notes. You've got to respect that.
