Racing Teatray

One for the 928 lovers...

Apart from the fact that I never can understand why ownership by somebody titled is ever relevant to anything, this looks rather nice for under £10k:

I do like 928s, I must say.

I remember as young teen a member of my squash club purchased a 928 that was previously owned by Steve Ovett. As Racing says that meant nothing: it was still a 928 with a brown velour interior.

Lovely.
It's even got a sunroof - I think they were an £1100 option for what looks like a 6 inch opening

Nice dog.

I do wish people would learn the difference between taught and taut (and coarse/course etc).

Yum. Thatís my favourite Porsche interior colour. I used to drool over 993s with that and either dark blue or dark grey exterior.

It suits that age of car, it's just a pity Porsche still do the '1 colour for every surface' thing on their cars - where specced, of course.

Itís a good point, with the 993 there is less stuff to cover, plus you can have a contrasting steering wheel and/or dash panel to break it up a bit. The more I look at that 928 interior the more the colour becomes almost over bearing!
Martin

They do offer some two tone interior schemes now thankfully, so you can have a black dash/wheel with a different colour for the seats.
Mark

Nice - but it would have to be one of the last of the run for me - an S4 or GT/S.

There is a late S4 around my way which only comes out on nice summer days - it looks magnificent and is still menacing 20 odd years after it was built.

I quite like the interior colour (similar to the aubergine on some CLS's) but it has to be a black dash and wheel for me.
PG

The everything one colour interior is a bit too much. But in that sort of car you have to wear dark glasses the whole time anyway. So it would tone the wheel and dash down!

I love 928's and if I squint a lot, the Panamera can almost be a 5 door 928.

Very nice and I'm almost be tempted if the price were around a third of what's currently being asked for it.

Having clicked the link, on the right-hand side there is also a DS23 for sale... very nice again until you look at the price

£45,000 !!!
OK so it's "only" done 53,000 miles but even so .....

As to the 1950's Bentley R-type also on the site....
gonnabuildabuggy

Very nice.

Rich owners should add a few grand to the price tag I hope. My E500 was once owned by Mr. Walker of Walker's Shortbread Biscuits fame, surely such provenance is worth a few grand?
