Not mine as such......Trisha decided to remodel the LH light cluster last week, can't see how this was an improvement on the original....
So after some deliberation we blamed 'a pole sticking out of a dumpster', yes thats what it was......
I was expecting some horrendous bill from VW for a new light cluster, but was pleasantly surprised to be told it was $98.50 including tax....54quid, for a genuine VW part (must be genuine, its says producto de México on it.... )

That's a good price. When I pranged my dad's old '91 Volvo 740 it cost £100 plus VAT just for the sidelight and repeater which was the only thing that broke when it ploughed straight on through a fence in the ice. The bulbs were still intact.
I was only doing about 15mph, it's just that steering input had no effect in the conditions. Luckily for me, the bloke who drove my dad home that night did about a grand's worth of damage to his Rover when he did exactly the same as me!

I found one of the rear lights on my Rover 75 had been cracked, shortly before I sold it. I found a small piece of dark grey plastic in the 'wound' and later discovered that the damage was at exactly the same height as a ridge on the wheelie bins used where I live. I later surmised that it had been hit while it was parked when the local binmen were doing their round. I got a replacement via the internet from a scrappie but, after handling charge and VAT on top, it wouldn't have cost any more to have ordered a new one from the nearest ex-Rover dealer.

I'm so glad the RS's rear lights are 'Focus standard' having seen the prices on other parts..I'd attempt too repair then with sellotape like a few cars round here I've seen.

Unless you have US-spec lights like Woody...
