Nooo!

Were my ears deceiving me just now? It sounded like James Allen interviewing the top 3 qualifiers on the BBC. He's not back, is he?!

Richard (ex-MB_insider)

Yes, I think he took over the role of FIA interviewer at the British GP.

Oh cock.

That Ledgard bloke on the BBC is very close to being just as annoying as Allen, in my opinion.

He's on a par TBH but in a different way, he isn't so much up a British drivers arse it's just his stating the bleeding obvious, cutting across Brundle etc etc.

Talking to a colleague about him apparently he used to do F1 commentating on the radio and he was brilliant but he just can't get to grips with the telly stuff.
PhilD

Eddie Jordan is beginning to ruin my F1 experience in the way The Cock used to.

Is it a punishment for the teams by Bernie and Max?

Personally I like EJ's style.
The radio 5 commentary is often better than the BBC1 TV version; you get the option on digital to use the red button to listen to it; saves having to put the radio on as well as the TV :-)
Nice Guy Eddie

Who does the R5 chat, is it Croft and Davidson? I think they're superb when they comment on the practice.
Twelfth Monkey

I love the way Legard got around describing Webber's aggression with Barichello by saying that 'well, he is Australian.'

Mrs 12th and I shook our heads.

If i'm around to watch the race live i always have Croft & Davidson doing the commentary, Croft seems to come across as quite likeable and knowledgable and Davidson comes across very well too.

Oh so true, but oh so un-PC. He shouldn't have said it, but I'm not sure I'd have wanted your reaction, it might make me feel a bit PC! Prius to replace the RS4   ?
Eff One

Have to say I laughed at the Australian comment.

I'm quite positive on Legard overall but I did get annoyed a couple of times when he cut Brundle off in mid-sentence yesterday.

You really think he shouldn't have said it? The Aussies are known for being aggressive sportsmen.
Big Blue

I'll add myself to the "EJ is an annoying leprechaun" camp

Could be argued I'm half way there!  I'll confess to a fair degree of roof-down motoring at present...

I know that the aussie nature has more than a whiff of robustness about it, but even so...

Either way, I'm chuffed for Webber.  He'd raised his game beyond Vettel, at the Nurburgring at least.

+1

Good news for Button as well since Webber took a couple of points off Vettel.

+1 on both counts. In terms of "Human Comments", Webber leads the field ("What was Sato playing at for fuck's sake?" being a favourite live TV gem).

And with Brawn not keeping up, the fact that their nearest rival has 2 drivers vying for top dog status and Rubens' less than well-advised outburst means Button just has to keep the points racking up like Alain Prost
Dr. Hfuhruhurr

That was a serious toys-out-of-the-pram moment for Barrichello. Might find he's off Brawn's list for next season.
simonp

Perhaps he had already been told that before the race and thought "Aah, what the fuck!"

You think DC and EJ will make it through the remaining races without a punch up? Can just see Jake Humphrey proffesionally saying "and on that image of Jenson lifting the drivers trophy we bid you farewell till next season" as they wrestle on the floor in front of him
