no new car, no decisions....

I'm finding myself torn....

On the one hand, one car gives me more time to focus on business, family and the house.

On the other hand it means I'm spending lots of time browsing for something new to replace the Golf.

My original plan was to build a buggy to increase my skills beyond straightforward mechanics/bodywork, but with my contracting into next year for a while it looks like I won't have the time on my hands I'd hoped.

So now I find I'm scanning a broader set of vehicles, not just buggy's but also Stag's and Capri's and other "interesting" stuff (witness the Monza).

I've also got the alternative of going halves with a mate on his Fiat Coupe for track use.

Or perhaps I'm best of playing "virtual garage" on ebay and keeping my time for work.

Choices, choices, choices.............

Build a buggy over several years ;)

Go for the track day special.

Buy an absolute shitter of an old RWD volvo turbo, and turn it into a track/drift beastie.

I've been looking for a certain something to use as a day to day car and I've seen so many on Autotrader but all the good ones are at least 200 miles away (according to AT so that means about 300 by road ) and I think I've got fed up looking at them now so feel almost unable to make a decision.

I'm not gonna travel such a long way to look at a cheap car only to find it's a total heap and worth about £20.

Yeah, I know.
Still it could be worse.
Mrs Tim was pointing out houses near Kinloch Rannoch last week.
At least that would give me an excuse togo and buy another ratty Shogun for winter use

My dad got rid of his S Class a few weeks back.  It was a 3.2 straight 6 auto, he got £2700 for it.  There so much stuff out there if you want cheap thrills for the track.

I don't think it would matter what you, I or most of the guys on here had in the garage. We'd still spend a lot of time looking at nice metal.
