I've only started reading the long termers bit for now but it looks like a decent mag this month.
They've got a Focus ST and they're going to Mountune it to see if that's a worthy alternative to an RS. |

Should be interesting, having had my first poke around an R26.R at goodwood this weekend I can understand why it scores so highly, its just a little too focused for me. I think I'll happilly take the Focus RS as a compromise. Is it true that the R26R doesn't have any windscreen washers? | ||||

I'd say yes. Performance figures are very, very similar and I'd happily live with more torque queer and less of the Essex boy looks while my bank account was 6 or 7 grand to the better. I'd like to see on put up against the other and I suspect DR might be the place to go for this. |

I'll have a wander into the local tesco stores and have a rummage. I always have a smile about me as I queue up with my shopping trolley with just the latest issue of evo.

I was just about too say........ But was narrowly beaten by the cossie driving shropshire bloke.
They've argued this very point in the Forums on evo...I sat there thumbing through the latest edition as they proposed firing off letters to evo towers.

I'm always wary of mentioning the latest issue too early as I upset the bods at EVO towers once ...so always wait till I've seen it in the shops

Never being one too subsribe, I always find it more satisfying just to know that all the latest car mags have 'hit the shelves' and so begins the aimless search for them.... Bloody good excuse for a drive. I'd reckon that most monthly car mags have a few subs waiting, afterall they make these things by the lorryload. And deliver them as..... 'soon as'..!!
Are folks that insecure that they'll be picked up by their work colleagues or nearset and dearest by the scribblings in the latest mag??!! "I knew before you did."... 
I work with a rotating shift of 40 blokes..and 90% are more interested in the 'must have item' on a caravan!! Maybe I'm spoilt.

It was more a matter of that I said the new M3 looked good ( when that issue came out ) and the EVO writers were a bit red-faced as they'd promised BMW they wouldn't release details until 2 days after the mag was out |

It is atrocious, isn't it? A bit disappointed with the issue as a whole - seemed a little thin on content, especially compared with PC which I bought at the same time. |

After reading GZ's post, I have been looking at all the photos in that article, and I wonder if the two cars were ever actually together at all?
The shot on PG 65, I think the Lambo is the "real" car, and the Audi has been inserted. The 'armco' to the right of the Audi looks wrong, the overlap of the two cars looks too sharp... The shot on PG 109 is appalling (see above) And the shot on PG 113 isn't exactly convincing, the wheels look odd, and when viewed with a degree of suspicion again looks "inserted". Any photo experts care to comment on the shots? |
