New C Maxhttp://www.autocar.co.uk/News/NewsArticle/AllCars/242895/
Tidy - I likes it

Looks like an inflated Fiesta. Underwhelmed, I'm afraid.

Looks like a Kuga, which isn't a good thing. The lower grille is getting Peugeot-like, which is also isn't a good thing.

+1
Plenty of people like the Fiesta though, so it may sell.

From the front to the C pillar it makes me think S-Midi, as opposed to S-Max, then with a Fiesta back end tacked on.
If it's as successful as the S-Max it'll be very good for Ford.
When will shots of the interior be available?

I like the Kuga and Fester, so will probably like this. The current one is the default mummy car around where I live. I have resisted, because I can't see the point of an MPV that only really gains headroom over the estate version of the same, and I can't see the point of an MPV with only one child. (Though weirdly, despite it failing both counts, I don't mind the Golf Plus, which seems less of an MPV and more a bigger, less common Golf).

Is there a Ford you don't like GZ?
I dare say it's probably good to drive - Fords usually are - but personally I much preferred Ford's early noughties design language to its current stuff, which is almost universally graceless.

Unfortunately another Ford that doesn't live up to the promise of the earlier concept - I appreciate expensive/impractical details have to get binned for production but why can't they translate the concepts into the finished article?

I like the Fiesta (engines aside), but this is very dull in comparison.

Simply hideous.
Awful colour too.

Hideous, graceless ??
We are all looking at the same car aren't we ?
As far as little vans go (which is what this type of vehicle effectively is), it's a tidy effort. I don't want to fuck it and spunk in it's face - but if there is a smarter looking teeny van people carry box thing, I haven't seen it.

Yup. Hideous.
It's just a typical pastiche of the sort of graceless bulbous design school max power crap we see so much of today. The grill, the huge lights, the fog lights (or whatever they are) in their low down cut outs, the side scallop, we've seen it all 100 times. There's no originality, no style, no purity, no subtlety, no beauty, just design by number and who picked the soiled nappy colour?
Just my opinion of course, but I think it's hideous. The sooner this sort of design trend is dropped the better.

C3 Picasso? (okies, the detailing is fussy but the chunky Tonka stance is great)
I think Racing was spot on. There is no delight to that Ford at all. The waist/rising window line maybe suits this more than the Fiesta/Ka, but it still gives a fat-ass stance.
Why have a rising windowline cutting rear visibility in an MPV? It's not even stylish. (Though Ford isn't unique in doing that).
It's a personal pet hate but I find the sharp pressed wheel arches particularly risible. I'm sure they are a great technical achievement to put into production, but I don't like 'em.

I suspect it might be available in other colours.

No, they're all tainted by the memory, the damage is done now.

I quite like the C3 Picasso too, now that I've seen a few driving around. Maybe the best of the mini mpvs to look at?

Looks nice from the back, but the C4 Picasso would be my preference.

Interior and the 7 seater, and in a normal colour without snowflakes:

So as there is going to be a 7 seat C-max are Ford going to do away with the S-max?

The rear is a bit dodgy and the sliding door rail isn't well integrated, but I do quite like it.
It makes a lot more sense than the normal C Max with the sliding doors and more space. The interior has way too many buttons but does look like a step forward for Ford with no fake wood or shiny silver plastic. The black plastic looks much better and it doesn't have crappy orange graphics from an 80s HiFi either.

Nope - there will be both.
