My brother's website

My brother is by far the best amateur photographer I know. His motorsport pics are especially amazing but he also has an excellent eye for landscapes and general random stuff.

It's not just me that thinks so, either. He was commissioned by a competitor at last year's Goodwood Festival of Speed to follow him and record his day in pictures; he was invited to shadow an accredited photographer at last year's British F3 / GT round at Donington Park; he is in regular contact with the picture editor at Autosport and his F1 photos have been praised by Darren Heath, one of the most eminent F1 photographers in the world.

Check out his site by clicking the pic.

Matt

He sure has got a great eye for saturating his landscapes and judicious post-processing.

Once he learns to stand up straight when taking landscapes, there'll be no stopping him ...

Really like the Loews hairpin one - I stayed in that hotel when I was in Monaco a couple of years ago

You say that, but you should see some of the bizarre positions he contorts himself into in order to obtain his ideal perspective!

That pic above of the Renault F1 is astounding. I assume the tyres are still somewhat cold, to distort to such an extent. I know you've posted that before, Piers - thanks for posting again.

Very high speed so huge lateral load, and probably under full throttle too - is it Bridge?

Alex is not just a fine photographer, he's also one of the fastest kart drivers I have ever seen. Sickeningly talented

Nice site, I like the layout!

His motorsport shots are superb, and he has a great eye for detail shots and using the camera as art. However, too many random angles make me a bit seasick personally, and very few of those in the landscapes section are what I'd call landscapes, and as Matt suggests he either has a serious colour profile issue on the machine he processes on, or ladles on rather too much saturation through filters or processing!

Processing aside, the nature stuff and random shots are also superb. One to keep an eye on, for sure! How much kit has he got, and does he want to do motorsport photography as a job? If so I might be able to get him some time with the guys that do shoots for Fast Bikes mag - no promises, but one of my best mates is the editor...

PS - he is indeed bastard fast/talented in a kart too!
