Mi auto es una maracca!Well, it's back and immaculately repaired. And props to the often maligned Aviva for organising and approving the repair quickly. But obviously the broken glass has found its way into all kinds of corners, so I now have a mellow Latin percussion thing going on. Some bits have appeared on the floor, so given that it's due its 24000 mile service, I'll get them to have another go with the Hoover. And obviously its usual and wonderful noises are all present and correct.

I read this..yesterday...and I'm still confused into why the repair garage didn't vaccum all the broken glass!!!
I worked today and still had trouble getting my swede around..WHY they never saw fit to attempt to remove the broken glass that must lie in allsorts of places!!
It's not like the car is a £200 banger!

They did hoover all the visible glass, but it gets into all the vents and stuff, and reappears as you drive.

Yeah - the back window of our Fabia spontaneously shattered a couple of years ago (probably a faulty heating element) and we still get the odd little bit of glass appearing. I need to get some tweezers to get a bit out of the rear speaker grill.
