Its a 2003 Peugeot Elyseo 100, and it cost me exactly ONE POUND  Its got 10 months MOT and tax til may
Not exactly the most sensible wheels for winter, and it needs a bit of work but ONE POUND cant argue with that  If i dont at least double my money, i shall be cry
I forgot how damn cold it was to ride one of these things, my hands are frozen, as well as my legs. I really need some gear

Yes, you really do. I speak from experience - get some proper gear. Just because it's a 49cc scoot doesn't mean it won't hurt when you fall off / get rammed by a Fiat Brava.
But most important of all - have a fun!

I currently wear a hi-vis vest, big reinforced jacket, with 3 fleeces underneath, one with a hood that i can use as a balaclava, then I have an extra pair of trousers over what I usually wear and as I use it to go to work on, I have my steel-toecap shoes
And then 3 pairs of gloves
should do me, I crashed my last moped wearing less
