Swapped the wifes boxster for a cayenne diesel (BOOOOOOOO !).
JohnC

I suppose the Cayenne will blend in nicely to your new surroundings and it's always nice to know what's around the next hedge!

With a GT4 driving pleasure should never be too far away!
Nice Guy Eddie

Boooo indeed. Was it a 981?
Alf McQueef

Fair enough, a Boxster and a Cayman are too similar really. And even I would not argue against a (6+ pot) diesel in an SUV. Enjoy!
Martin

Bit of a shame, but makes sense when you have the GT4.

Your post is seriously lacking in details....what's the colour / spec etc?
gonnabuildabuggy

Given the flooding that's occurred around those parts in the past a very smart move.
PG

Having passengered in a V6 petrol Cayenne, I think I'd go for the diesel too. But you should have really gone for the V8 and be done with it
Frank Bullitt

Right in be country set, although the Porsche might be seen as a bit 'new money' 😉

Ban. No ifs, no buts. For that you are out!
Martin

Mmmmnnnn, a white Cayenne is errrr, not good.  You can take the man out of Manchester....

The rest of the spec sounds good.

Might need to get it respayed or wrapped in dark blue or green before you move to the Cotswolds...
franki68

Problem is 90% of used stock is either white or black and after 7 yeArs of black cars ,she fancied a change.

Its actually quite good looking in white ,but it is more of a female colour.
Can't link it up as they have taken the ad down.
PG

Lt's park the white for a minute.
Question 2 needs to be are the wheels silver or black?

Its actually quite good looking in white when it's clean, but when we move to the Cotswolds it will become a less trendy brown colour most of the time.

Your honor ,the defendant wants it to be pointed out at this time ,that whilst he selected the vehicle in question after a long search, his recommendation to his partner was to get an rs4 ,however said partner preferred to go the suv route.

Silver wheels btw.[/list]
PG

White with silver wheels is almost rare I would have thought? And at least it is all white, so you are forgiven.

I must say that every time I see a RRS in white, with black wheels, a black roof and dark rear privacy glass, a little piece of me feels that mankind has moved one step closer to oblivion.
franki68

its not 'all' white...some have the lower spoiler bits in white as well, this doesn't.

closest pic I couldfind.

gonnabuildabuggy

That looks really, really nice.

I'd get it covered with that easy clean coating

I'm sure that Franki has a man who can do that!

Or only let her drive it when it's dry and sunny.
Alf McQueef

I could defend the car.

I could defend the engine choice.

Privacy glass (albeit pretty much unavoidable on the SH market I suspect) and the colour I struggle with a bit more... But Mrs ALF likes white, maybe its a gender thing...

My wife thinks white is a womans colour on a car.

Picked up a few days ago.

When I see them on the road, they never look as big to me as say a Range rover or q7,but in the garage its bloody enormous, just fits and makes my car look like a tonka toy.

I had a look at the F Pace in the Jag dealer the other day when picking up my car, and that (between Macan and Cayenne size) looked absolutely huge as well. They - X3, Q5, X5, Macan, Cayenne, F Pace, etc - are all quite similar in size, and it's quite a big size! Mrs ALF gets annoyed parking the C Max at times (which does not have the best visibility) so I think Q3 size is the only SUV type we would seriously consider...

Enjoy it!
