Improved LR Defender

This would be a lot less costly and painful to mess around with than the real thing and the panels look straighter and better fitting too

Where is the funpain in that?

I love Lego. Haven't touched it in years.

The Land Rover is the one car* that makes sense in Lego.

* Maybe BeN's scary Toyota too

I wonder if it falls apart immediately post complete re-build?

I've got the Lego campervan and really fancy the Unimog too - they do a Mini which looks surprisingly good too.

I've got both, the Unimog is really quite excellent and has over 2000 pieces. It certainly kept me quiet for a while. I like the new 911 GT3 but can't really justify spending 250 on it right now.

Less painful? Wait till you step on a loose part in the middle of the night...

Have we discussed the Caterham 7 set in here, on sale now:

I got all my Lego out the loft this weekend as Giantette 1&2 love Lego. We've spent all weekend sorting and making old sets, with very few pieces missing.  However, I've got to admit, '80s lego isn't quite as great is I remember it!

I 'suppported' one of these Lego ideas once and as a consequence get a regular update on the ideas page - most be over a year now and I've yet to see one get the support it needs to be considered for production.
