I do enjoy...

...a good old-fashioned Clarkson review...especially of a good old-fashioned car:

http://www.driving.co.uk/car-revi...eview-2015-lamborghini-aventador/

I remember being taken out for a spin in an Aventador in Austria two years ago and it was an incredible thing, even just as a passenger.
Big Blue

Very enjoyable. Earlier in the summer I was careful to avoid TLGP with one of these as they get off the line pretty sharpish (whereas the R1 waves a wheel in the air ostentatiously).
Roadsterstu

Enjoyable indeed. And it must be read in Clarkson's voice.
Grampa

That's the Clarkson I enjoy - so much funnier than when Top Gear was doing the silly and oh so predictable car builds and road trips.

You really can't fault his logic.

I think Clarkson is a very good writer.  He seems to have a way with words that doesn't come across as well on screen.  I'm not saying he is a bad presenter as I have mostly enjoyed his TV stuff - some of the serious programs he has presented (Bismarck sinking springs immediately to mind) have been incredible.

He is a lot more intelligent than people give him credit for. and some of his writings have made me laugh out loud over the years.

Clarkson at his best. He can make you conjure up all sorts of visions in your head and leaves you somehow energised after taking in his words.
Martin

Yes, really enjoyed reading that

From a while ago, but I enjoyed reading this in the Sunday Times originally and still do: http://f20.1addicts.com/forums/showthread.php?t=771782

Yep.  Then there's 'Speed' which he did a great job of presenting, 'Great Britons' when he did an equally great job extolling the achievements of Isambard Kingdom Brunel...

... whilst I doubt his bank balance would agree, the more I think about it, Top Gear is the low point in his career.

Oh, I dunno - there was that chat show he did in about 1998-2000, which wasn't quite the right fit for him - to be fair, if you liked his SIARPC interviewing style, you'd have loved that...
TreVoR

I'd forgotten about that.  Clarkson the chat show was a bit naff and deservedly didn't last long.
Martin

I was in the audience for one of his chat shows and the off camera banter / entertainment was much better than the show that went out.
