Gigs

Been two gigs this week, Reel Big Fish on wed and Ben Folds last night.  Both excellent in different ways.  My back is fekked from standing up though

Tart!

Jump around a bit and you won't get a sore back.

Or head for the pit and get a sore everything.

Made all the worse last night as i had a wall to lean against for that true 'old man' look
Matt

Was it Reel Big Fish who sang Sell Out? I used to love that song on an old FIFA game back in the day.

Yeah it was their breakout hit in the 90's.  Turn the radio off is an excellent album and well worth a couple of quid.
Tim

My next gig is Saxon, supported by Wolfsbane (which is my main reason for going - I'll be in the bar for Saxon) in April.

Haven't been to anything for over a year prior to this.

not been to anything for a couple of years but off to the Manics in May at Cardiff CIA. Top band, great recent album, playing in Wales and going with old mates. Looking so forward to it.

No got anything planned until Glastonbury, to be fair I'm not a massive gig person though.

Tina has just bought tickets for Adele which I think is in September and she also hopes to go to Reading festival in August.

Tina isn't that fussed now as the headline acts aren't really up her street but regardless I think it'll be a bloody good few days, the youngest is going too.

DC is also going, not with me though.

You can say that again with regard to the headlines.  Gutted with all of them!  Still should be a laugh as you say.

The likelihood of me ever going to Glasto is very, very slim.

I've gone right off festivals - they are a surefire way to end up skint. You pay over the odds for a ticket and they spread the decent bands out over the entire weekend, meaning you have to camp. You pay stupid money for cold food and warm booze, you have to share a campsite with fetid, hairy strangers who piss where they sleep, the bogs are shit and you're fucked if it rains. Which it will.

Small club gigs will always be king, IMO.
Giant

My only gig booked at the moment is Elbow at the end of march, hope their new stuff is even half as good as Seldom Seen Kid.
