Getting Cheaper

Big engine petrols seem to love free-falling in the first year.

I reckon that this has lost about 12,000 or 25%

Isn't it more like 5-6k off the net price? (Closer to 5k).

Having seen a few 4s now (inc an M) I think they look great and far more special than a "2 door version of the saloon".

Yes, a discounted 435i with that spec would be 39.5K and I suppose that with new car finance being at 4.9% apr and used car finance around 10%apr
the difference between the two is pretty small if you are borrowing a lot.

It was just that the cheapest of these cars, used, have been about 35K for a while now and this looks like the first step down to more realistic levels.

I really like the M4. There is one I keep seeing around the office in a BMW individual colour (which is the reason I found that turquoise one because I was searching individual colours to find out what it was). I think it might be Moonstone but the car just looks really muscular.

One of my neighbours has a red 435i MSport with black alloys. It's nice but always sounds rather disappointing when he drives past.

That they do.

The M4 has spoilt the 4 series for me, it's made the track look too narrow at the back and the stance not quite right.

Yes, the monthly payments will be very similar on PCP because of the difference in interest rate and the higher GFV of the new car after the same period.

I haven't seen an M4 on the road yet. What also strikes me is that the 4 series coupe looks a "big" car now. Whereas I always thought the 3 series coupe looked smaller than the saloon, now it is the other way round. Like an A5 coupe always looks way bigger than an A4 saloon to my eye.

Saw a yellow one on the way to the gym this morning. It looked awesome in that colour. Wouldn't suit a regular 4 but the M4 suits it. I guess in the same way Phoenix yellow looked great on the E46 M3 but not the regular 3.
