Gene wilder

Gutted, starred in some of the funniest films ever ,films that still make me laugh on the 30th viewing.
Bob Sacamano

I just feel for all those Oompa Lumpas, usurped by the Minions, and now orphaned.
Humphrey The Pug

Genuinely gutted that he has died, one of my favourite films is See no evil, hear no evil.
Big Blue

I don't think he had a bad or short life so let's celebrate his work rather than mope his demise.

true, but regardless of age its always sad when someone who gives/gave you pleasure passes.

A true master of his art. As they just said on the news, nobody did hysteria on film quite like Gene Wilder. I hope they repeat all his films. Be a good excuse to sit and watch them all again. Especially Springtime for Hitler.

Yes The Producers was his best.
Grampa

The baked beans scene in blazing saddles really appealed to my schoolboy sense of humour - I think it was the first time I'd ever heard someone fart on screen (hard to believe now) so the 'daring' made it even funnier.

It's Fronkenschteen!
Frank Bullitt

Apart from Blazing Saddles, I can't think I've watched a film with him in. Sad, especially as he was seemingly suffering from Alzheimer's.

Wonderful as Willy Wonka. Producers is arty-farty  overrated -tried to watch it but i switch it off.
Watched Young Frankenstein manny times. On my last viewing , sure i remembered the moments of genius but was shocked at how appalling it was  in general

Mmm..Bullied , beaten and sexually assaulted at school for being Jewish Wife died of cancer five years after marriage .The loss left the actor so traumatised he shied away from the spotlight. “They had such a beautiful relationship, but when she died he kind of retreated"
“He was bitter about his childhood, about losing Gilda. I think he would have liked to have had children with her.
“They tried very hard. That was a source of sadness.”
Big Blue

Yeah those are all things that happen to people that can't afford a joint of meat once a month.
tali

....Or even just a joint a month
