Friday!!!!!

Well, it's here!

What's the plan?

The weather is miserable here so I don't think I'll be doing much. I have a family birthday and some DIY and I'm rapidly wading through "The Sopranos" which I think is great stuff.

So...a quiet weekend of rest, DVD's, music, radio, wine and food and lots of sleep might be just what the doctor ordered and will probably start with an early finish.

How about you?
Humphrey The Pug

Not a great deal, working all weekend but off for dinner tomorrow night at Tina's Uncle's, he's a fantastic cook and him and his wife are great company so it should be a good night.

Taking delivery of a new carpet for the caravan this afternoon, then trundling up to Blair and fitting it tomorrow. Hopefully my ex-wife will be out of hospital too, so I don't have to take my daughter in to see her again - that would mean rushing the carpet-fitting, which is never a good idea!!

Selfish of me, I know, but I'm feeling awful cranky today.
Scouse

Beers with the chaps this evening. Scouselet 1 to dancing in the morning. Afternoon walking the dog with Mrs Scouse's aunt & uncle  which I may be able to get out of as Scouselet2 has a virus at the moment. Sunday will be trying to do some of the jobs I was supposed to do last weekend....

Is it half term yet?

Off to a family wedding in Brighton tomorrow. Should be fun, but it means i'm missing another home match at Kingsholm - hopefully i will get my fix in 2 weeks time when Gloucester are playing the touring Australian's prior to the autumn internationals
Blarno

Pay day today!

But, Jo has the car and I can't get anywhere to spend any of it. Might have a curry and an early night, working all weekend.

No plans as yet but the weekend is meant to be a scorcher (relatively).

I'll have to swing round by my parents and collect all my tools, jack and axle stands in anticipation of rebuilding the front brakes on the Fiat.
Not gonna do it just yet but it'll take a while to find space to put everything AND the car in the garage
Big Blue

Feck all planned.

Will clean house and start getting some stuff down the dump.
BeN

I just came back from a friend's funeral. Pretty sobering experience. Makes you think about your existence on Earth, and how you may go anytime, without warning.

Pretty busy weekend. Lots of work to do.

Sunday will be the first full clean of the BMW, so I'm actually looking forward to it......

Not sure about tomorrow, will be getting a lie in and doing very little if I can get away with it, as the forecast is for rain.

It's bloody cold!
SpecB

Coq au Riesling for dinner tonight and some wine.  I need to get my arse into gear and get my horse entered for some dressage competitions so will look at the magazines this weekend and subject to postal strike get him entered for something next weekend.
Rodge

I'm on my own with the kids as Mrs. R has gone Stateside with a friend to visit another friend.
No plans tonight, early night may be on the cards as I'm knackered and need to catch up on my studying. Tomorrow I've nothing planned but have to have Zoe out of the house before 5pm as she's in a Christmas concert and they're practicing already!
Sunday, Zoe has a party, right in the middle of the football, not that I really want to watch it. I am a Liverpool fan so I ain't looking forward to it!
Mind you, they did alright in the same fixture last year with a weakened team, but that team was alot better than this year's.
Monday is a bank holiday here, I have nothiing planned for that either. It's actually the first October bank holiday I have off in 12 years, but I might be celebrating it with a new niece or nephew, my sister is just about to explode!

Visiting family tomorrow, possibly Westonbirt Arboretum again on Sunday.  I was there last weekend, it's lovely.

Maybe going to the self-build energy-efficient home show in Swindon tomorrow, weather-permitting.
Sunday: nothing planned as yet but may start trying to find out why the Scenic indoor swimming pool forms when it rains, and trying to find out why the heater fan no longer works on any speed (the fuse is OK) if I can work out how to get to it all (supposedly doing a bat impersonation in the front passenger footwell will help.....).  If not, I may be asking Humphrey if he can do a favourable labour rate at one of his sites

So what happened to "scorcher" then? We ALL got totally soaked on Saturday, nor was it particularly warm.

I think your weather forecaster needs sacked!!!

I assume that's in the National self build place just off Junction 16?  If so, then it's right next door to one of my sites.  Did you go along?

Exactly, the forecast said it would be sunny today so I gave the car a good clean first thing and it's rained almost all day
