Nice!  Me?  Beers in the local, perhaps.  Work Saturday, some sort of work around the house or garden Sunday.  Unless I get the 260 back, in which case, it's playtime!

Up to the caravan (for the second time this week!) later today, to stay for the weekend for the first time in over 6 weeks! Looking forward to the peace & quiet TBH.

Better pack your thermals, there's definitely been a change in the night time temperatures.

I think I've got a quiet weekend ahead.
Golf on saturday which now means a much slower 35 mile drive than before   and then, at present, nothing planned for Sunday.

First time was to turn the water off!!!

BTW, you do know this 'slowing down' lark won't last 'til Chirstmas, don't you?

It's not been that cold

I was surprised I managed the slowing down thing on Tuesday.
I drove all the way from Cupar to here - about 30 miles - at the speed limit.
I'm not proud to say this but that's probably some kind of personal record.
Gurney

Off to the Lakes tomorrow to do the Oxendale horseshoe, weather looks to be perfect for me - sunny but cool.

Sunday, wash and wax both cars.

I know it's not been that cold, and you know it.......... but try and convince Helen ~ she's obsessed about not getting burst pipes! Anyway, it was a good excuse for a (not slow!!) blast!!

When I lived on the I.o.M. I was on 9 points (all speeding), but I'm ashamed to say it didn't slow me down particularly. Mind you, IMO the Island was one of the first places to introduce "speed-traps for profit" sites in the entire country, which accounted for 6 of them!!!

Ah well, better safe than sorry and if it led to a decent blast even better.
Which way do you go from Perth to get to Blair?

Off the A9 just before Bankfoot, then through Luncarty, Stanley (often pop in to Ballathie House Hotel for a spot of lunch! - very nice it is, too) and past the Meikleour Beech Hedge. Quite twisty in some places, and straight blasts in others - nice road.

A night in tonight.
Tomorrow it's the mother in laws birthday so we're all going for a pizza in the afternoon, then if all goes to plan i'll be at the pub at night.
Sunday is a vegetating day apart from my sister bringing her rabbit and guinea pigs round for us to baby sit whilst she is away.

Nice choice.

Have you also tried going out through the back of Dunkeld and up the hill?
I did that a few times for a blast when we stayed at Bankfoot. It's a fantastic road

Be interesting if it turns out to be good and you can get it. A guy called Ian Marsh ( user B'stard Child ) on PH has got a GSE he tracks - he's a nice chap.

going to have sex with a variety of animals
this weekend,  just for a change
scamper

Beers in Brum tonight.  The rest of the weekend will be taken up by viewing various married quarters and moving stuff over to laura's pad in Brum.  Hope to get out on the bike - the trails appear as dry as they have been since July.

Ok................ Fed up with the usual creatures then?

Studying tonight, in college tomorrow, no plans for Sunday, but there may be a GP involved somewhere.
Big Blue

Kids this weekend so will spend time tidying up after them.

When we went up to Dumfries a week or two back it rained most of the Friday, on the Saturday the trails were as dry as you'd expect in summer, bar the odd puddle.
BeN

Dinner tonight.

Pretty busy weekend, with the Brazilian GP and all that.

   only in our dreams
Scouse

Gym tonight. Kids swimming & dancing in the morning. Kids rooms to decorate, 1 bed to take down, move into little scouse 2's room and put back up, another bed to be built in little scouse 1's room. Grass to cut, gate to build & fit, puppy school to go to and anything else mrs scouse can come up with.

what's the bets that not even half of that lot gets done?

I've been up that way three times now - driving from Edinburgh up to the Cairngorms - but never in a remotely interesting car. Must remedy that sometime.

Talking of which, wifey and I will be boarding a flight to the Frozen North in four hours' time. A long weekend in Edinburgh beckons, can't wait.

He's a guy who obviously likes his cars! Just found him looking at SOTW Senator on P'heads

Twelfth Monkey

Pub & pool with the family this evening, furniture for the extension delivered tomorrow a.m. (alas ahead of the carpet), GP, curry at some stage, walk muttleys.

Did that tosser ever come back there?
Twelfth Monkey

No.  Eight Ace was a salutory experience for one and all, but it's a good local staffed and patronised by decent folk.

That Hummer hasn't been seen since either!

Thanks for asking, by the way.

EDIT:  Ooh!  And the granite stand we're having built in for the TV and AV gubbins is being fitted in the morning.  Promises to be ace (singular).
Scouse

I love granite things. I think it's such a fab material to look at. Our kitchen worktops are granite as was the fireplace. Alas the desire for more living room space and the fact that I never got around to commisioning a purpose made powerflu meant that in three years the gas fire never actually got used. Mrs Scouse got fed up dusting it and demanded it be removed.

So if anyone wants to buy a 6ft high black granite & beech fireplace with an unused lpg basket fire, let me know...
Twelfth Monkey

We're going to ask them to make us a couple of coffee tables up as well, but the budget has well and truly been spent for now.
Blarno

Working tonight and tomorrow night. Should have someone coming to view Blue Frog on Sunday.

Fingers crossed.

Indeed. There's an XR4x4 out there somewhere,  waiting to grace my drive.

Clipped my horse today - yuk, yuk, yuk.  Horrible job out of the way.

Tonight is an Asian take-away and some wine and nothing else planned for the rest of the weekend.  I may give the grass a final cut and wash the car but that will be about it.
Chris M Wants a V-10

Saturday: Taking younger daughter and a friend of hers to Thorpe Park.  Other girl's mum is bringing them home in the evening.
Other than that, and watching the Brazil GP, and taking elder one back to her Uni lodgings in Farnham on Sunday evening, no plans yet
woof woof

I had a pretty bad migraine yesterday and I'm still feeling sick and woozy now. The bad ones can take days to get over so I'll just have to get on with it.

I've been pottering about and there's more pottering to do over the weekend plus I need a hair cut and there are few things I hate more than going for a hair cut so all in all it's shaping up to be a crap weekend. Ah well...
Jasper

I find having my hair cut very relaxing but have only fallen asleep once whilst having it done.
DaveGibson

It only takes 10 minutes to get a haircut (at least it does where I go). Admittedly, I have mine cut only every three months and not being at work means that I can go any time I choose. I make sure that that is about 10am during school term time so there is no queue. When I last went, three weeks ago, both hairdressers were sitting around waiting for a customer to turn up.
woof woof

I got to Angelo's, my little Italian barber, at 11:45 and have just got home now. It's only 10 minutes walk or so each way but there's always a queue and I was last in before he closed the shutters.

Still...it's all over now until next time.

I still feel like crap though.

Not a bit early for that? Helen isn't planning on doing Sprite for at least another fortnight, weather permitting. Mind you, he lives out until the end of October, when livery rules dictate stabling overnight....

I've had a rug on him for the past month but his hair has still grown so much that he sweats too easily when worked.  I would normally like to leave it until November at least.  We have dressage expert Paul Hayler coming next week so I want him ready for that.

Our liveries have until next week then they have to bring them all in, worm for tape and turn out daytime only.  Our own only get a couple of hours each per day out.
