Free Film

I have a stock of Fuji slide film in my freezer that is never going to be used.  Most of it is probably out of date but it has been freezer stored since I can't remember.

Free to a good home if you want it.  PM me an address.
..

You can get some good effects with out of date film so why not give it a go?

The film camera is in the loft and I really don't have time for it.  I am not very artistic either!
..

If there are no takers here maybe you could offer it to charity?

I dunno if this lot would want it...

Or maybe there's a local group or even a school or college?

Just texted my daughter so see if she uses it.

Ditto. My film Nikon (F65, I think) was the first modern camera I'd bought since I was in my early 20's when I got it about 6/7 years ago; a bit sad how quickly it's been superseded by digital equivalents.

Get scanning the negatives and it'll trump most DSLRs with its resolution.

I very nearly bought a film scanner before I went digital.  I just used to get the lab to do it and let me have them on disc.

My interest may have been awakened if there are no takers.

I've just bought an Epson V300 flatbed scanner for the TR Register. It has a slide and negative scanning attachment and recognises how many pictures are being scanned at the same time, creating the same number of separate files on the PC. So there's no messing about trying to separate multiple images from a single scanned file.

Well, I've been up in the loft and retrieved my Dynax 7.  The batteries (which I had removed) were flat so it seems like I need to go and find some new ones.  I put the vertical battery grip on and put some AAs in this for the time being and it test fired OK.  I also managed to find the instructions which I may need!

I will shoot a roll this week and see what happens.

Mrs Tim went back to a film camera recently and was very happy with the results.

Mind you since the we've bought a proper digital SLR

I've got a Dynax 4 that I was given as I can use the same old Minolta A mount lenses I got for my Sony A700 d-SLR.
