Foggy Trossachs!

Copping Pier's and Michael's style but with a bit of remote flash to lift the car a bit:

Mrs DB in her best Liam Gallagher pose by Loch Venachar, again using remote triggered off camera flash

Took these on a day off just before Christmas, the quality of these images isn't great as they/re from Facebook. My Flickr account seems to have stopped allowing me to paste in the image locations. Maybe I need to check my settings?

Thought these looked familiar when I saw the first one! (Saw them on Flickr)

Nice ones.
..

Great pictures, they remind me of that horror film "The Mist."

Darth, you can post picutes direct from your pc without using a hosting site.

Cheers - it was quite cool being able to go up above the fog for some of them. we tried to go to Loch Katrine but we couldn't actually see it from about 200metres away!

Oh right - how's that done then?

I use flickr and Facebook because Lightroom2 can output directly to them without needing to save anything other than the orginal RAW file on my PC. I don't need to save any TIFFS or JPEGs that way. Lightroom just saves the changes it's made in a database. It's incredibly efficient.

Darth - for the true Piers & Michael copy, you'd need another MX-5, in a slightly different colour, parked nose to nose with yours.

Lovely photos anyway!
..

You just go to "Post Reply" as normal and below the little bix you type in you'll see "Attach File."

Click on "Attach File" and a box opens up and you "Browse" for your photo. It'll resize the picture for you or you can disable that option and use your own size.

It's easy. Give it a go and you'll see how to do it but I think you'll need a JPEG on your PC.

Next time you're down in Durham, you should arrange a meet with Alan!! (It's not all that far, is it?)
..

My first forum meet? Golly, I'll have to have a wash and a shave.

I have spoken to one excellent forum member on the phone and I even had a wash and a shave for that.

I don't bother for PM's though, mostly I'm naked and unshaven when I reply to those.
Matt

Love the lighting of the first picture.

I'll PM Alan ahead of my next trip to Durham but will block out the naked and unshaven image from my mind.

I can't claim any credit for that unfortunately
DetmoldDick

Nice pics, I love photos of foggy scenes. I shall have to give it a go myself sometime. Unfortunately it normally involves getting up early.

I have only just realised that the "road" in the first picture is actually a bloody great river. Must go to Specsavers

That house must be in serious risk of flooding.

DB, where was this one taken? Not being a local, I'm interested as it looks very familiar. When I was a kid, we visited Scotland every year to visit relatives and I know it reasonably well, but I'm sure I've been at this location before.

Great photo's by the way.
