F1 Game 2016 - Japan

Just a week after Malaysia, the circus ventures to Japan where battle re-commences in the world championship.

Usual guesses for top 10, pole and F/L.... thinking hard for a decent bonus question, such as which driver will eat the most sushi over the race week-end, how many drivers on the podium will drink champagne out of their racing boots, how many Mercedes power plants will be changed over the week-end but have settled for:
What will the time gap be between Rosberg and Hamilton when they finish their races?  You don't have to say who will last longer in the race, just the difference.  So if Hamilton stops on the formation lap and Rosberg wins, difference is the winning race time. All clear now?

I've started the process of catching up the scoring in the absence of DrH. It's a long job but give me a couple of weeks.

I thought it was neither as he's refusing to do a press conference.

Just read that he has said that the press have been disrespecting him and he is refusing to do press conferences; ironic as his antics with Snapchat at the drivers press conference on Thursday (I think), were pretty disrespectful; IMO.

I really struggle with him; best driver by a mile but he can be such a bell end at times.

Pretty much sums it up, behaves like a joke, treated like a joke, resurrects chip on shoulder because he has been treated like a joke.

It used to be the the stewards who were out to get him. This year it has been his mechanics, Mercedes, a higher power and now the media. Muppet.
Martin

He is a muppet and really should should lean to keep his mouth shut, his head down and just get on with things.  However, Ted Kravitz says that the reports being published are untrue and he was at the press conference so should know.   Lewis just said that he was disappointed with the reaction to Thursdays press conference, wished everyone a good weekend and left early.

I'm not particularly bothered about how he behaves / dresses / spends his money outside the car, just how he drives, which I enjoy.  I don't like the way Rosberg behaves on the track and don't think he's a particularly worthy world champion, so want Lewis to win. Simple as that.

I'm now beginning to think that even his engines have had enough of him !

So Rosberg has bossed Suzuka in all sessions over da Ham. That means da Ham knows Rosberg is on it as this is the track that the drivers see as THE test. I like Nico: he's mega wealthy but knows how to be mega wealthy. Lewis is a far superior driver but is .... er ..... badly advised.

He treats the fans like shit, he treats those who pay his wages like afterthoughts and lacks humility. Assuming he amasses more points than Roaberg at the end of the season and wins, so be it, but is complete lack of humility is shocking - he simply doesn't deserve the support he gets.

Da Ham can be grateful for the Undercut and Ricardo's quick reactions, without the former he'd have been languishing and the latter had an early bath.

This is well written and has a couple of very interesting quotes form the Wolfe Man.:

http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/formula1/37600049

"Let him do his talking on the track," Wolff said. "His performance in the car justifies some collateral damage."

Later, Wolff made a particularly perceptive observation: "Lewis is very strong. He needs the enemy. Sometimes more than one. That's how he functions."

He's basically a man-child and the grown ups will give him a good telling off. Expect some pseudo philosophical nonsense about all this from Da Ham later in the week.

OK, the scores whilst I still find it exciting.

The actual results of the race:
1. Rosberg
2. Verstappen
3. Hamilton
4. Vettel
5. Räikkönen
6. Ricciardo
7. Perez
8. Hulkenberg
9. Massa
10. Bottas
Pole: Rosberg
F/L: Vettel
Bonus: 5.776s (Chris M wins the point)

Race results for the game:
1. Chris M - 13
2= Sav - 12
2= JohnC - 12
4. BeN - 11
5. PhilD - 10
6. Big Blue - 9
7. Scouse - 3

Deemed - 3 (Eff One, the other CT, Dr H, Humphrey)

So the table looks like this:

1. 167 Sav
2. 158 Chris M
3=137 Eff One
3=137 PhilD
5=129 the other ct
5=129 JohnC
7. 128 Big Blue
8. 114 Scouse
9. 113 BeN
10. 104 Humphrey
11. 89 Dr H

Midfield is tight; Sav and Chris are the Petronas Mercedes Benz of the game.

You don't but you still remain the source of the bonus questions for the remainder of the season

Think I might need to turn Da Ham and disagree on that one!
Big Blue

Bloody accountants

You're right; my midnight finger counting failed. I'll amend later.
Big Blue

I updated the scores to reflect the change of points for JohnC to have the bonus not Chris.
