F1 Game 2015 - Spain

So we and the teams have nearly three weeks before the next race, which is the first in Europe, at the Circuit de Catalunya. Don't think the fans will be celebrating a home win, somehow. But feel free to disagree with me, in fact, to predict all the top ten finishers, and who you think will set pole and fastest lap. And how fast will that fastest lap be in seconds (one point for the closest guess)?

Deadline: Friday 8 May 2359 GMT

Qualy appears to be on Sky1, so non SkySports peeps can watch it.

Oh, I could've watched that!

You didn't miss much.
Tim

I only saw the last 20 laps on the highlights.
I had to switch it off straight after the race as Hamilton's general demeanour getting out of the car and standing on the podium annoyed me (clearly it's a massive problem for him only finishing second and in addition he didn't take his shades off on the podium either.

He makes it VERY hard to have any positive feelings towards him.

I didn't even get that far; I watched the whole race, yawing and on my tablet and turned it off as soon as the race had finished to go and put a coat of undercoat on, on the porch; which was far more interesting than the race.

I hate the way he keeps his shades on when being interviewed or when on the podium; it is just plain rude and obnoxious.
Nice Guy Eddie

I wouldn't mind being rude and obnoxious if Oakley paid me 1million a year.
Twelfth Monkey

He comes across as a spoiled brat.  He's got where he is through talent and graft, but it often seems that F1 drivers gradually forget what a privileged position they are in and become quite hard to like.

No matter how much he promotes them, it wouldn't make me wear a pair of Joe 90 glasses.

There's footage of him having a strop after failing to win a cart race aged about 8. He hasn't really changed!

I always think those overly large sunglasses are for the ladeez as the first few hundred people I saw wearing them were female 'celebrities'.
Big Blue

I think he comes across as trying too hard to be either cool, unapproachable; aloof; a sports great - whatever you want to define it as. Kimi on the other hand makes no effort at any of these things and is favoured widely; Bottas is a modern driver with the media-savvy upbringing that Hamilton has had but he just doesn't seem to be as much of an irritation.

Make no mistake, Hamilton, whatever you think of him (and I can't stand him), is one of the all-time great F1 drivers. But he's also a cock.

And that is exactly the nub of it, he's trying to be cool, aloof, whatever. As soon as you try to be cool you're instantly not. On the other end of the scale Kimi couldn't give a fuck if he is cool or popular, which instantly makes him so!

Bottas comes across well, and Webber was an immediate natural presenter when he was on BBC during the weekend, they should sign him instantly.
