F1 Game 2014 - Austria

And so to Austria for the first time in eleven years, to a circuit that is now called the Red Bull Ring. And the home team will be feeling a bit more confident after their double podium in Canada, albeit profiting from Mercedes' misfortune.

Rules of the game: you need to guess who will be on pole, who will set the fastest lap, and who will take the top ten positions at the finish.

Bonus question: time of the fastest lap in the three qualifying sessions (one point for the closest guess)

Deadline: Friday 20 June 2359 GMT
Tim

I can't believe it's been so long since the last race at Austria.
It seems like only a few years since the Ferrari debacle and Sato getting t-boned at the first hairpin, etc.
Big Blue

I remember watching the 250cc genius that is Luca Cadalora racing along the Armco in the mid-late '80s on what was a circuit consisting of two humongous straights with some curves at the end. He won the '90 race on a Yamaha TZ250 and I'm pretty sure it was a last-lap slipstreaming effort.

Those were the days.
Sav

It is nice to see the return of the A1 Ring. Like Montreal it doesn't have boring sequences of corners where it is almost impossible to pass. Fewer corners isn't necessarily a bad thing.
BeN

That first (almost 90 degree) corner leading onto the pretty long straight is especially memorable.

At least I did well at the race I was actually at!

When I sort through 500+ shots I will post them. So about 3 useable ones
Twelfth Monkey

Nice to see a track that isn't Tilke-ised.  A bit point-and-squirt like the old Hockenheim, which I still miss because it was unlike any other.  I can't help but feel that the identikit nature of much of the current crop of tracks doesn't help when it comes to one team dominating, as has happened in far too many recent seasons.
Scouse

I think F1 needs the old Hockenheim, rather than the current one. Small wings, big speeds, big stops and a technical twisty bit at the end made it unlike any other.

I am the Sauber of the Forum F1. Occasional excellent result, but on the most part hovering near the tail end of the field.
Tim

I would love to see the old Hockenheim but they dug up the run out through the forest.

I think I'm Sebastian Vettel - last year's champion now playing tail-end Charlie
Dr. Hfuhruhurr

Then I'm Alonso - came close last year, now languishing in midfield
BeN

High score! What's going on?! I'm supposed to be crap!
