I don't like the way he behaves. Talented or not there is no need to act the way he does.

Opinions differ, evidently: I think he is still a cock. Although he is a "blessed" one, "thanks to God".

He is, however, an enormously talented racing driver so I don't suppose his employers give a fig about how much of a bell-end he is.

he hasn't matured, he just thinks talking more slowly makes him appear wise.

He also causes cognitive dissonance in me. I think I want Rosberg to win the championship yet there I am cheering Hamilton's overtake yesterday like a loon.

Did anyone see that ridiculous massive gold chain that he was wearing whilst on the drivers parade, I warm to him and then he does something completely twattish, such as the gold chain?

Well I got pole correct, but damn that Rosberg for giving way to Lewis.

I shall laugh really hard if Nico snatches the title from Lewis at the Abu Dhabi "Double Points" Grand Prix. I'm secretely wanting it to happen...

I will be extremely pleased if double points wins Rosberg the championship, would be farcical but we would see some world class dummy spitting from Hamilton.

That would be the worst thing to happen to F1 this year and it's already been a pretty poor year!!

Hamilton has won 10 races this year, Rosberg has only won 4.  That's more than enough to say he deserves the Championship.

Well, Ricciardo has a shout when it comes to deserving the title as he's been outstanding this year, but even he can't make the RB fast enough.  Only 1 win behind Rosberg driving a far superior car is another reason why Hamilton should win!

Rant over

Yep, I'm also wanting to see this scenario. F1 has been a farce for some time, with the Brawn double diffuser, the Red Bull ground-effects-with-the-exhaust, the Red-Bull don't-like-the-tyres-so-change-them-so-we-can-win-the-title etc. so the double points bollocks will be a great way to humiliate the "sport" yet further.

I'd also love to see Nico win the title and stick his finger up at the boo-boys, to see the enraged reaction of the British press, to see the ensuing 10-year sulk from Hamilton, who let's face it threw away a title in China and Brazil in 2007 and then lucked in on the last turn of the last race for a title he almost threw away in 2008 and to see if Nico can get Mercedes to make a Number 1 so huge in 2015 on his car that Hamilton has steam coming out of his cunty earrings before every race.

It won't happen though: Hamilton is looking like he could beat Nico at ease in any race so probably will.

Hamilton was a rookie in 2007 and McLaren should have called him in to change this tyres long before they had work though to the canvas.

2008 he was almost denied by the bizarre decision to award the Belgian GP to Massa after Kimi binned it even after Lewis had let him past after "leaving the circuit"

I think the reasoning behind that decision was Hamilton let Kimi back through and then immediately retook the place, rather than waiting until after the following corner.

Hamiltons fucking awesome. Its a joy to watch him drive when he's on it. Mansell was an arse but I loved him in the car too. Ignore all the Hamilton baggage if you can, its so worth it to marvel at his racing.

Yup(ish). It's just a bit hard to ignore all the baggage as there soo much of it. I picked up the Autosport the other week as it was on overtaking and as you can imagine Mansell featured quite a bit in it. The only problem was they let him write his own article and that just reminded me why I hated him as much as I loved him.
Dr. Hfuhruhurr

Yep, have to agree with that. I've always tried to ignore a driver's perceived out-of-the-car persona and judge them only on their driving skills, but Hamilton stretches my ability to do this, not least because of the "cunty earrings" ( to Big Blue!).

That said, it would be a travesty of Villeneuve proportions if the utterly mediocre Rosberg wins the title. And Hamilton's driving in the last few races has been superb.
PhilD

I know where you are coming from but if the winner is the person who scores the most points then the only person who deserves to win is... the person with the most points! (within the rules etc etc).

I do agree that Hammy is a joy to watch.... in the car. Actually out of the car his rapid balding is also enjoyable.
Martin

if we didn't have double points in the last race I'd agree, but it has the potential to hand the championship to the wrong person!

Couldn't agree more. Forget how he acts out of the car, it's what he does in the car that matters. There are very few drivers who would have overtaken Rosberg like he did in Texas and has been all season. The one timed Rosberg tried to overtake Hamilton, he made an utter hash of it and just proved how much less talent he possesses.

I wouldn't argue Hamilton has driven best this year, but if we are ignoring how the drivers behave out of the car, we may as well do away with drivers and make the cars fully automated. And unfortunately, Hamilton is a dislikable drone who manages the impressive trick of being simultaneously bland AND irritating.

You don't know him and have probably never met him.
One of my parents' friends has met him several times as she attends a few GP's per year and aims to stay in the same hotels as some of the teams.
Lewis has actualy interrupted a conversation with this team members to speak to her when he recognised her standing nearby, and has even remembered what attire she was wearing the year before, commenting that this time she was wearing something more approrpiate to supprting him.

He is apparently really charming in real life

The guy that my colleague knows who works for McLaren, says that Button is a great guy, approachable, easy to talk to and when at the factory will eat with the minions in the canteen, Hamilton is the complete opposite.

Of the F1 drivers I've meet

Nelson Piquet Jr Very Nice
Bruno Senna Very Nice
Nick Heidfeld Very Nice
Alonso - An Arse

Which goes to show that nice people finish last or more to the point if your important you don't have to be nice or be pleasant whist doing your job.

I've met quite a few, and I don't remember all of them. But of those that I do, David Coulthard seemed like a nice and normal bloke.

Michael Schumacher came across as very shy and reserved. He didn't seem to like media interviews and etc, and would rather stay out of the spotlight. Bless him.

Lucas di Grassi was very nice.
