EVO 132

Any fans (or not) of the Lotus Evora may be interested in the latest issue (I won't give anything away regarding conclusions):

Lotus Evora vs. Caman S vs. Farbio GTS350
Lotus Evora v Nissan GTR

Other articles on Murcielago SV - "This thing goes like hell"

Bowler Nemesis - some impressive pics of this beast getting air

24 hr drive of the AM V12 Vantage

New GT3 test

Supermini group test -  Fiesta Mountune, Abarth 500, Twingo, Panda 100, Suzuki Swift, Mazda 2, Colt ralliart

And a few other bits and bobs also!

Did you have to ruin that bit...

Hopefully my copy will be at home waiting on the doormat.

Had a quick flick through mine last night along with the new Performance Car and the BMW Car mag ( nice 320is and M3 EVO comparison ).

Too much to read sometimes!

I've got a right old backlog of mags i haven't got round to reading yet.

I can't help buying the new issues all the time though.

I keep doing that then wondering if I've actually read all the articles in the mags before I bin them.

I have the opposite problem - I burn through them in no time, especially since I stopped subscribing to Autocar.

However, this month's EVO has terrible quality print, it looks blurred in some parts of the mag to the extent you can barely read it, which is a shame...

Must admit I didn't notice that ALF with my copy. Be interesting to see if the non-subs copies in the shop are the same for you?  If not ring up and complain and you'll probably get sent a 'better' copy

Thanks for the tip. I'll pick one up this weekend, so will thumb through it beforehand to make sure it's readable.

Re: EVO 132

I'm really looking forward to this issue; the Aston V12 Vantage is my current obsession, and as for the Murcielago SV.. mmmmmm. And then there is the Evora, Cayman, GT3 and GTR - personal day dream stuff.

I know the pecking order already, but that is going to be interesting reading.

The Panda 100HP is a much better all-round car than my old Sportka (SE), but for a driver of my skill level the Ford is more alive, that bit more entertaining on a spirited drive.

It's a personal bug-bear that the Sportka is pretty much forgotten while the Panda gets a lot of respect. I'd love to read a test between them - but I think the Panda would still win; its limits (and speed through the twisties) are higher.

I have a feeling evo did a test when the 100HP was launched. I think the Ford won for the reasons you stated.

My subs copy has suffered from this in the past, i gave them a ring to tell them and they sent another one through the post for me without issue.

Can't find it on the website :-(

Great shot in the magazine of the Panda taking a corner on two wheels - I'm clearly not trying hard enough!

Maybe your 'lower centre of gravity' helps keep the wheels in contact with the road better?

Would you know anyway, I have often wondered if I have ever driven mine hard enough to get it to lift an inside rear wheel?

I seem to remember Saxo VTRs/VTS' being featured on Watchdog years back  for resting on 3 wheels when parked at an angle on driveway ramps. Stiff ARBs and limited suspension droop

I didn't see that, I have fitted a 27mm BAR to the rear of mine, up from 21mm.  Though when it is jacked up there is a fair amount of "droop", maybe that is just down to my age?

While I was lying under the car yesterday I noticed the "Nurburging" stickers on the dampers...     Still could be worse, they could be in a more obvious place...

I only remember it as we had a VTS at the time it was on ( late 90s/early noughties ). They also had another report on the water pipes by the bulkhead making a loud gurgling sound!

Re the car resting on 3-wheels, someone had parked it diagonally across a steeply cambered driveway ridge, then taken a photo as it was sitting on 3-wheels. Citroen had replied that it was perfectly safe and due to the sporting nature of the suspension
