Eagerly anticipated

Which future models are you looking forward to the most?

1. Porsche Panamera
This has had so much bad press due to ill informed claims it'll be massive and ignorant judgements that it'll be ugly based on well-camoflarged test mules. I for one think it'll look brilliant and I know it sounds it. Porsche seem to be one of the few manufacturers who seem capable of raising the engineering bar so it'll be interesting to find out how it drives.

2. Next Golf
Very keen to see how VW plays this one given the dull effort we currently have. I understand the next model will be cheaper for VW so it'll be interesting to see where the corners have been cut.

3. Lotus Evora
I know it has been luanched but I haven't seen one yet and I want to know if it'll work better in the compoosite than it does in the photos. I'd also like to think it will handle better than the Cayman but we'll have to wait and see about that.

4. Land Rover LRX
The concept is lovely but the production model is stilll some time off. Should be a very interesting car.

5. BMW 5 series
When the last 5 was launched (E39?) it was widely considered the best car in the real world. The E60 never really matched that, will the next?

1. Vauxhall Insignia

As a fan of the Griffin, I really want this to be able to stand shoulder to shoulder with the Mondeo where it counts; driver appeal. It looks better by a mile, IMO and the interior also shades the Mondy's for looks.

2. Vauxhall New Calibra

Well, they think it'll come, so hopefully the above will be good and this will be brilliant

3. Next 3-series

Something a bit nicer to look at and with a driver-oriented interior, as it should be. Making the 2.0 a six again would be nice, but that's long gone.

4. Next Astra

The current car is leaps and bounds better than any other, the next one should be brilliant. Hope they don't change too much of the range, like making the 3-door conventional. That's be silly.

5. Lotus Esprit

If Lotus can get this right, we may no longer see them churning out rubbish like the Proton Europa S. 'Nuff Said'.

1) Lexus LF-A. Long overdue. Please, get it done.
2) Land Rover LRX. Lovely, lovely car.
3) Honda NSX. Can't wait.
4) New Calibra. I do hope it does happen
5) Erm, can't think of anything else for now, so I'd plump for the Golf.

1.  LRX...
2.  Jag XJ
3.  Focus MK3
4.  Lotus Espirit
5.  VW Golf VI

1)Fiat Panda Aria. 2 cylinder turbo that is supposed to be efficient and power seems sensible too. May also make it into the Ka so I'm interested from that perspective too.

2)Hyundai i-20. The i-10 and i-30 are tickling the top of their respective classes. Can Hyundaicontinue to get better?

3)Fiesta ST / SportKa. Selfish thinking here, but in terms of affordable and interesting cars that will crop up on my scheme these are top of the list. A 155ps Ka sounds good to me.

4)Citroen C3 Picasso. The concept pictures looked great. I can see the B-car MPV/MAV sector being a crucial one if fuel prices keep going up and money sloshing around for 'luxuries' goes down.

5)Vauxhall Insignia. I wasn't impressed at the Motor Show, but I want to know how it drives, and whether it has a premium feel that can transcend the blinkered brand boundaries.
DarthBalls

the first three are ones that we would seriously consider for replacing our Fabia in a few years

The new Fabia vRS
Alfa Mito - in the hope it looks better in the metal
The Panda Aria - for that engine

Lotus Esprit
Lotus Evora
Stuntman

I think the Evora looks really good in the metal.

1.  E92 M3 CSL or at the very least, a good CS
2.  Cayman CS or GTS
3.  Audi RS5
4.  Audi TT RS
5.  Next BMW Z4 M
PR

Ford Focus RS

Audi RS TT

LRX

Jaguar XFR

Focus Mk3
Colin

Tough call this one, as few new cars seem to have the "wow" factor so much as the "ugh" factor with their styling, which gets them off to a bad start.

Lancia Fulvietta - assuming the latest rumours are true and they do build it

Alfa 149 - will it be a real Alfa, and as nice to look at as the 147?

L-Rover LRX - every time I see it, I like it some more

Audi S4 - to see what I might have missed out on

and finally, since we are supposed to select 5 items:

The next Peugeot - to give me something to really moan about. As surely it will be as ghastly to look at as the rest of their recent offerings!
