DTM, Brands Hatch 2012

I attended round three of the 2012 DTM Championship last weekend; here are some pictures from the day:

There was also a stock car race afterwards; the Euro Car Series which is sanctioned by NASCAR. They arenít exactly sophisticated, but produced a terrific race. Every lap was exciting.

Fab pics Sav! Ignoring the DTM cars for a mo, Z8 in dream garage please.

Great pictures Sav.

There is a Z8 near me, I see it probably a couple of times a month, they look fantastic however they just don't look like an £80-£90k car.
PhilD

^^ I think they do, but admittedly I have little first hand experience.
Giant

The Z8 is one of the few cars I've never seen on the road.

Great pics. This is my favourite, love the tyre marks up the side of the car.

Some of them had the rear bumpers hanging off, didn't seem to affect the performance much though!

Thanks guys, I seem to recall the Z8 wasnít very well received, but the value it retains now is amazing. Alpina models are even rarer.

Ha! I'm guess Kyle would approve, Mars and Toyota less so.
Matt

Great pics, Sav.

The M3 safety car looks mean, whilst the white racer with the M-Stripe could become quite iconic like its forebears.

I wonder which is rarer? The Z8 or the 760li, in Britain at least?
Sav

Thatís a good point Matt; it was perhaps the only time where 750ís, 760ís and 550iís could be a frequent sight.

The Safety Car had the uprated M exhaust system, and it would certainly answer any grumblings about the standard car being too quiet.
