Domenicali out

Was bound to happen however I'm surprised it took this long:

Tim

He always reminded me of a young Vic Reeves.
Big Blue

Just read this and swore out loud in the office.

Then I said: Not Whitmarsh; not Whitmarsh; Ross Brawn; Ross Brawn.....
Twelfth Monkey

He always seemed a really nice guy to me, so I'm sorry to see him go.  Flip side is that a properly competitive Ferrari would be a Good Thing.

Marco Mattiacci is his replacement; never heard of him, he is head of Ferrari's American division.
JohnC

From what we see on TV Domenicali seemed like a nice guy and always had time for questions. It's a great shame but I dare say he won't be lacking in a few s for his retirement.

Kind of have to agree. The Portuguese are starting to call him a specialist in failure.

But it's not like they were struggling also-rans in that time. Save for 2009 when Massa's injury effectively handicapped them, Ferrari's results, in the Constructors' Championship at least, were more than decent since Kimi's title. They finished 1st, 4th, 3rd, 3rd, 2nd and 3rd.

Most teams were gonna struggle this season thanks to the new regulations (Mercedes being the exception), so to let him go now seems a bit harsh to me.

Whenever I saw him interviewed it reminded me of when a news channel lines up the wrong guest and, for example, asks a student from Congo about Apple computers.

Love it:
