Dartmoor Zoological Park

It's 10-minutes outside Plymouth if you find yourself down this way and the Tigers, Cheetah & Jaguar have an open-fronted pen (with a bloody deep moat and horizontal fencing to keep them in!)

Lovely shots, Matt.

I've always been a total fan of tigers ...... I've even got two on my arm!!
Matt

Whenever I go to photograph at places like this, I could spend ages just looking at the tigers.

Lions can never be arsed to come near.

Nice shots Matt.

What lens are you using? You have got great use of depth of field in what look like long distance shots, particularly in the meerkat, otter and second tiger shots.
Matt

The Meerkat is on Canon's 50mm F1.8 and the others are on the 70-200 F4 L with the 2x converter, which means minimum F8 and manual focus. I was getting frustrated trying to capture the feather because it kept moving just as I got focus.

You should have taken the meerkat on both, then you could compare them ...

I asked, but he couldn't get me cheap car insurance.
