Coachbuilt Vengeance Aston Martin by Kahn

Tone down the brightwork from the grille and I actually think this is one of the best looking cars there is, even if the styling has been gently modified from what is a beautiful initial design. Really like what he's done with this, the wheels especially are attractive and the rear reminds of a Zagato based Aston.

I'm following Afzal Kahn on Instagram and apart from some dodgy designs (that Huntsman - long bonneted (sic) Defender)) I really like what he's doing at the moment, plus he's getting a Chiron

Each to their own is the nicest thing I can say!

The quote 'That is both good and original; but the part that is good is not original, and the part that is original is not good.' Springs to mind.

Not for me.

You need to go to Specsavers Nelson; it is fucking hideous.
Twelfth Monkey

Kahn is Halfords for the footballist.
Blarno

Proof that money and taste are seldom good bedfellows.

"Redesigned two-seater splits opinion"

Yup - splits it 7-1 so far.
Bob Sacamano

Kahn just seem to willfully fuck up everything they touch. Has anyone ever liked anything they've ever done?
JohnC

That looks like it should be in Mad Max. Not my cup of tea!
Scouse

My Eyes!
That'll be 10-1 then.
BeN

11-1.

Sorry mate.
Racing Teatray

12-1.

We'll be at a crap afternoon gameshow shortly...

I agree that that Hunstman Longnose is a moose of a creation, but at least the individualism and personalisation is there and I support that. I like what some of he, Urban and Chelsea Truck Company design.
Yes, he's fucked up a few designs but in the case of this Vengeance I honestly think in that colour and with those alloys that is truly one of the best looking cars you can buy.

It looks purposeful and I love the rear, the haunched up boot spoiler and particularly the circular rear lights which work so well, and yes the front grille is a bit too bling even for me, but tone that down and you're still left with a car whose silhouette still resembles an Aston Martin but one that is individual to it's owner and rare, and that appeals to me.

12-1. Doesn't bother me. If you want hideous, have you seen the Gumpert Arrow or that new Spyker C8 thingy...jeeeeezus, my eyes
Roadrunner

13-1

Agree that as presented, it is a bit ott in the details. But it wouldn't take much for it to be tasteful and even quite stunning. With a bubble roof, it wouldn't be far off a zagato style product. I haven't seen interior pics, but let's say it was typical Aston Martin style also.

I would do the following;
Tone the grille down with usual Aston type grille. Restyle the bulge extending from the front wheel. Maybe toned down wheels also.

I do also agree that Kahn products are usually quite tasteless though.
boc70

To be fair, apart from the wheels and grille (and the can-we-get-any-more-macho-sounding 'vengeance' script on the back), I quite like that, although it's then hard to distinguish it from a 'Aston' Aston.  However, that's Kahn's final, approved, signed-off version of wheels and grille, so there's not much excuse.

So, 14-1, just. (off the crossbar)

Awful
Big Blue

I've just done a mini-sick.

16-1 (if Andy was 15-1)

Don't forget that Nelson is a big fan of the Corsa.

VXR, yes I am, but the I also get a semi-on over a mk2 Focus RS in blue, but having seen yet another new Civic Type-R I like the look but don't think I could bring myself to be seen driving one
DetmoldDick

Apart from the grill, I like that.

apart from the grill it's an Aston DB9, so no surprise you like it!
Clunes

17-1

The rear is fine (badge removal required) but the grill and wheels are awful - remove those and you're left with a much better looking car but your also back at a largely standard DB9 so get one of those and pocket the 175k saving!
Grampa

Were it not for the fact that a 'naked' version by Aston Martin exists, I would think it an attractive car if a little excessive. But he original does exist and it's far more attractive (not surprisingly).
Twelfth Monkey

It's 175k extra?  I don't know whether to laugh or cry!
