Classic cars from my favourite era and country. Warning!!!It's funny how tastes change, isn't it? The following pics have all been gleaned from Google Images, and are American cars from 1957-model year.
I used to hate this type of car, when I was young! But any one of these would be on my wishlist, were I to win the lotto. By co-incidence, I was born in 1957.
1st, my all-time favourite - the Chevy Bel Air 2-door Sport Coupe:
The Chevy Nomad:
Doge Custom Royal - not too keen on the grille treatment:
Ford Fairlane:
Lincoln Premier - check the rear overhang!
Oldsmobile Golden Rocket
Packard Clipper Wagon - a marque sadly out of business now.
Plymouth Fury - anyone seen the film Christine?
Pontiac Star Chief - badge-engineered Chevy
Buick Century Convertible - this is nice...
Cadillac Eldorado Brougham - not a great favourite of mine. I once banger-raced AGAINST one of these...
Chrysler 300C
DeSoto 2-door hardtop - another marque no longer with us
Dunno why most of the pics are small - sorry!

I spotted this a couple of weeks ago in New Cross (the same day those two French students were bound, butchered and burned in New Cross... Eurgh)
I think my favourite Yank iron is the Tucker Torpedo, one of which I saw in the metal for the first time this year...

That top one's lovely - an Olds by the looks of it.
The Tucker is indeed a beauty - I love the 3-headlight treatment!

Your Bus has an exceptionally clean windscreen Kraft...
Did the E30 feel the need to beat the yank away from the lights?

Thanks "h". I was on the way back from a show, so it'd had special treatment that morning. A dirty windscreen, especially on the inside, is a pet-hate of mine anyway.

Dirt just wouldn't be OEM!
The 61 Lincoln Continental floats my boat at the moment. Pillar-less coupes are extremely cool.
