Citroen CXperience

Interesting looking concept. But that interior though... Wow!

Cartoon, not even made in clay yet.

Despite all the decades of concepts we still have cars with round dials in front of the driver, gearshifts in the transmission tunnel and plastic buttons to press.

And plenty without these things?

As it says in the article, much of the tech is already used elsewhere in the range it's just turned up to 11 for a luxury concept.

I'm in.

Indeed, after years in the doldrums Citroen do appear to have their mojo back. What's their next production car FB?

After the C3, it's the C5 which is supposed to be Autumn next year - C4 and C4 Aircross to follow

I like it and I don't think it's that far removed from what could be achieved.  Not saying it will be

C3 good but largely conventional. Are we expecting big things for C5?

Well, if you're expecting it to rise on a blanket of oil then you'll be disappointed - it is, however, likely to be the first CitroŽn fully developed with the Advanced Comfort brief (rather than the C4 Picasso and C3 which have it as elements added-on). Other details are rather sketchy at the moment beyond the obvious AutoWeakspress pictures - the current C5 is still sold in LHD form buy RHD production stopped in April. However, through the jungle drums I've heard that the CXperience does, through squinted eye, pass more than a resemblence to the C5 and it's important to note the launch is Paris, not Shanghai as per CitroŽn/ DS' more off-the-wall concepts.

Either way, I can't wait to see what it looks and, more importantly, feels like.

Looks unlike other things, and in a good way. †Pity it doesn't look like an old CX. †

I think manufacturers should do a Gattaca and just clothe modern undergubbins under classic exteriors.
