C1 has gone...

Well, the C1 has gone back to Citroen, in some ways I will miss it, but I never really enjoyed the "3 Pot experience" like I had hoped I would.

It always felt like it was broken at idle, and had a really heavy flywheel so didn't rev like it should have.

I will do a write up if anyone is interested.

So it has been replaced with a VAG product, a similarly small engine, but this one has a LP Turbo.

It is a in a similary 'subtle' hue to Twelfth's fathers car.

Powered by the green pump still...

I am quite fond of the interior trim.

Not the most 'subtle' shade, but suits the car IMO.

We have this one for 2 years, a similar "monthy fee and hand back" lease deal as before.
Twelfth Monkey

Subtle or not, it's not white - more power to your elbow!
JohnC

I have the feeling that red is starting to make a bit of a comeback. Enjoy.
PG

Red is the new forum colour of choice then.

What engine and trim level is that?
him

^^^ It is the Ibiza FR

1.2 (4 pot) Turbo Petrol (110PS)

6 Speed manual, the same drivetrain as the Leon you had I think PG.

It goes quite well actually.
Resident Spanner

Red cars are faster, well known fact.

Don't tell Blarno, he thinks its silver.
Martin

Small cars have always looked better in bright colours.

Looks smart and you can't beat the new car experience, enjoy!
Frank Bullitt

How have you found the whole 'leading' thing, him? Get stung for any charges on the C1?

I like the Ibiza, tidy car at the price
him

^^^ It has been fine so far.

No charges for the C1, there was no damage at all (all wheels were unmarked) so it wasn't a problem.

We only did 5600 miles in it.

FYP

For some reason Ibizas and Puntos have always looked great in lurid colours.

Looks good, as 12th says, good to see one that's not white, with badly chipped black wheels.
gooner

Looks good him. My Golf will be the same colour so perhaps it is making a comeback. How long did you have the C1 for to only do 5600miles?
him

^^^ We only had it for 12 months.

Was that to replace the Renault?
him

^^^ Yes, the C1 replaced the Scenic (that caught fire).

I was very impressed with that engine. It was way better than I expected.
Stuntman

Looks very smart, I think it carries off the red pretty well.  Have fun!

So now you've got another hot-ish hatch (sorry, couldn't resist)
Roadsterstu

I thought the 1.2 was also a 3 pot, didn't realise it was a 4.
Looks good, that. Polished red cars look fantastic.
him

^^^ No, it is only a single OHC 8 Valve 4 Pot.

There is a newer 1.0 3 Pot DOHC 12 Valve version out now, similar power but theoretically better on fuel?

@gooner, very good...
