Broadband speedThere was a thread a few weeks back about broadband speed, which prompted me to send for a 'free' accelerator from BT. It's supposed to help by filtering out 'noise' within the house.
Hearing the sound of the front door closing this morning, I found that the postman had left a package, which proved to be the device. A speed test this morning showed that my 8Mbs service was running at 4.13Mbs. After fitting the device and waiting for a few hours for the line to readjust I now find I'm getting over 5Mbs. It may well be better in the morning because late afternoon line speeds are supposed to suffer from contention delays.
We'll see but it's not bad for a postage fee of £1.20.
