Bored with GordGordon Murray that is.
Aside from his new 'revolutionary' toy car, has anyone heard him spout anything positive about any other manufacturer or car? He's at it agin in this week's Autocar over the new McLarens.
Sorry Gordon but you're begining to sound like a stuck record.

I haven't read it yet; but I think he's always sounded like a very dull bloke with a chip on his shoulder.

This from the guy who in the 15 years since the McLaren F1 has produced the following:
The Mercedes SLR - overweight and apparently not that nice to drive
The T25 - which he's building the hype about (and boy is he building it!), but we haven't seen anything concrete apart from Duplo used to show how easy it'll be to park.
In summary, a little less conversation, a little more action please ... oh, and as with Bob Lutz, a little more objective criticism from journalists who ought to know better.
I notice Gavin Green is nosing up the Lutz back passage in this month's Car ...

Murray comes across, and I'm dipping into hitherto-untapped resources of politeness here, badly.

I can't take any bloke with a moustache seriously, but Murray even less so for the reasons noted. If only the rest of the car industry was as perfect as him...

It does seem that the motor industry is over-stuffed with people who are described in shades of brilliance and yet, if looked at clinically, have actually done piss all that's been successful or really new or clever. But they all talk a good shag. Murray, Lutz and what about Melling?

Murray - Brilliant if budget doesn't matter (see Formula 1, Rocket & F1)
Lutz - A 'Car Guy', unfortunately an American 'Car Guy', ie bollocks anywhere else
Melling - Brilliant conceptual design engineer. Just needs someone else (preferably with a huge budget) to turn his concepts in to reliable reality
