Black and white to colour!

I think these are outstanding and the skill that went into these is way beyond anything I'll ever be able to do.

Skillful, yes but colourisation is the devil's work.  These photos were taken in B&W because of the time period they were taken (except the Audrey Hepburn picture which shows her as the sex goddess she was when shown in colour)

My dad developed his own photos, back in the day, he used to colour some in, not to this standard though.

Yes, but I can admire the skill and the art that went into these. They're beyond anything I could ever do and the originals are there for the purists.

How did he do it? I doubt he did it on a PC so did he paint them?

Yes he painted them, I haven't a clue if there are any about still though, I guess there may be some up in the loft, he was massively into photography and would develop all of his own black and white photo's, he made a dark room out of the outhouse.
