It seems that Autocar got it wrong about the mito when they tested the car. They say all the Alfa press cars for the UK launch were all set up wrong. Its seems odd that every other magazine managed to score the car well then?
Matt

With a magazine with as much credibility these days as theirs, it comes as no surprise.

What Car Weekly must have had Alfa sign up for advertising space, one wonders.

In their defence at least they have had the balls to revise their opinion after trying a different car and not put the blinkers on.

Ah, the good old settings excuse.

Before we consider what jolly good chaps they are for changing their minds, we might consider that car magazine ratings should be an overall ownership rating taking everything into account. In which case how much difference do we honestly think a slightly different setup might make to such a short acquantance with a new car? After all, it's not as if all the other mags agreed with them.

I also think it is ridiculous that it has apparently gone from a Kia shitfest 2.5 star score to being allegedly about as good as a Cooper S - some jump. I doubt very much that it is as good to drive as a Cooper S, but anyway the scale of the opinion change is just epic.

Worthy of some of our politicians, even? Maybe someone at Autocar is practising for their foray into Public Life!
