Audi Q2 1.6TDi SE

....

The shape of the rear (probably due to the light clusters) reminds me a lot of the Polo, and that's not necessarily a good thing. I agree about the 1.6TDI, I'm glad I got my Golf with a TSI engine instead, especially as it improves refinement over a Diesel engined version.

Looks like you have something on the dash you don't want us to see.

I had a client went to buy one of these recently and ended up coming away with a nearly new Q3 with a great spec and a load of change in her pocket. I priced one up and it is a lot of money for what is essentially a small car.

Sounds decent enough, but boy is it ugly.  I can't work out which is worse, the front or the back....probably the front.

I do think the (subtler bits of) styling has shades of the A2, tall sides, quite narrow looking, small rear clusters (unlike any other current Audi), but it really doesn't look good. Although based on the teaser shot of the Q8 'leaked' today, in time the 2 may prove to be the good looking Q.

I have said in a couple of threads on here, I suspect this may prove popular with OAPs because of the small dimensions, high seating position and premium badge and interior. Think of it as a posher Daihatsu Terios or Ford Fusion, both of which were undeservedly popular with our elders.

I think it carries parts which are out of keeping with the size of the rest of the car - the headlights and grill looks as though they've been taken straight off a Q7. The C pillars also look a bit odd.

Nothing wrong with it internally and I bet it will be very popular.

Saw one a few days ago in Guildford,  they are very odd looking and not in an endearing way, they have odd angles all over that just make a mess of the styling.

My idea of Automotive hell is to be stuck in one of these for 3 years and 30,000miles. OK dash is the best thing going for it.

That's the first pic of a Q2 I have seen. Oh, good God. It's hideous.

That's very true and shows that photcopier, or very shared group look, styling only seems to work across a certain size band of cars and usually has a sweet spot.

Q2 - front looks awful, generally a mess
Q3 - marginal, looks too short and dumpy
Q5 - works
Q7 - way too "fuck off pleb"

Five Oaks Audi have one on a big stand overlooking the roundabout in yellow with grey C pillars. Its an aweful combination.
