aston vantage v12 S

So my car was in for its recall and I took up the offer of a drive of a v12vS and vanquish, except no vanquish..they had just sold the demo so I had 1 and a half hours with the vantage v12 s.

Wow ,wow wow wow wow.

What a car,I can see why the reviewers loved it ,also the gearbox is not as bad as made out in the reviews,it actually is involving and gives a sense of reward when you execute a shift correctly .It is not as quick as the dual clutch boxes but on the other hand it does involve and reward you.
The engine is mind blowing ,my engine with another 60 bhp.The ride is much improved over the old v12v,and the handling is superb,I gave it a little bit of welly and it was wet ,but traction was never an issue and it felt so balanced through corners .Steering was lovely ,normal aston hydrauilic system and all the better for it.Brakes again faultless .The noise was even better than in the dbs .
Ride was improved over the v12v ,almost as good as the dbs.

Downsides,,interior same as dbs ,it looks great but is too fiddly, looks wise although beautiful the DBS is better imo,and it doesnt feel as much as an event as the dbs does (no logical reason for that though)

I've read a couple of reviews which declared the v12vs had given the author the most memorable drive of the year ,ahead of the 458's and gt3s even ,and I can see why .

Tremendous car.

Sounds epic.

Good bit of customer relations there then. And was the warm moist chamois ready when you got back?

Is this the one that did the group test in Evo vs the aventador and F12, last winter, in Italy? I loved that article and the video is OK too. All three sounded amazing.

I ask because although I like them, Astons all look the same to me and I can't work out their model range, at all...
Nice Guy Eddie

Rather bizarrely these have failed to register on my radar. I love your DBS and the new DB9 is a rather stunning thing too however the Vantages with all the tinsel thrown at them look a little bit of a dogs dinner to me.

Great that it drives so well, I always think there not going to be so great seeing as they're based on the V8V which was always a little short of greatness. Any reason they can't put the same mods onto something a bit newer.
