Aston Martin Vanquish S

Not liking the exhaust apertures

PhilD

The Vanquish didn't need be Project Chavved. When is the DB11 based version due?
Grampa

Fussy detailing starting to detract from a gorgeous base shape.
Twelfth Monkey

Needs toning down by 30% or so.  There's something fabulous under there.

+1

I think the current version is stunning
PG

That is a beautiful shape ruined by some utterly chavtastic detailing. What is it with this urge to over-detail and over-chav everything now? Will less, ever be more again? I do hope so one day.

That's AM back to its Victor Gauntlet roots. What the original DBS became was quite vulgar by the time it was Blown up by a cartoon sketcher.

Maybe understatement will become a reaction against vulgarity and brashness of a Trump administration...

I blame Chris Bangle
Nice Guy Eddie

I think it looks brilliant and follows on from the success they've had flogging the GT12 and GT8 models. If only it came with a proper gearbox.

The Vanquish is in a funny place in the line up with the DB11 effectively taking its place so needs to be seen as a competitor to the F12. Not that you'd take one of these over an F12

I think the current one is the best sounding car on sale, there's quite a lot around here and they just sound so fantastic when they drive by.
looks fantastic as well.

Pissed off because I have had 2 invites to drive the db11 I couldnt make.

Yeah, but, you've actually had one, you know? Proper experience and all that. This is the internet. Why should we listen to you?

Astons are so meh. They all look like facelifted DB7s!

You can repeat that in 2026...2036...
Andy C

I was never a fan of it in a two tone paint job , but in one colour it looks great

What kind of totally individualistic car is it that you drive Simon?
Nelson

There used to be so much want there but I am little put off by the needless fussy styling mods round the exhausts. Didn't need chavving up. Front with some extra lower brightwork works but the rear just looks overstyled now and not in a good way. Dislike the slabbed block centre console and that mixed dark trim looks utterly awful

Needs to be put out to graze now.

I've always found the Vanquish a bit over-styled; make mine a manual Vantage V12, please ...
