Alpina D5 Bi Turbo Touring

http://www.autotrader.co.uk/class.../1/radius/1501/make/bmw?logcode=p

Was this ever available in RHD? I've not seen one before. Maybe the rarity justifies the price but I doubt it.

Something like that would suit me quite nicely.

EDIT: There are some piss take prices at this dealer.
Michael

LHD prices are much stronger for used cars than RHD. The F10 D5 was the first to be offered in UK markets. Nice car but that price is incomprehensible to a UK buyer.

6 cylinders, 350bhp, 60 in 5.3 and 170mph. And still capable of impressive mpg. Way, way ahead of it's time.

BB's sat there all smug ay finding a nice rare car and then you go and unearth that!

I always thought the D3 was Alpina's first diesel,  but you're right it was way ahead of it's time.

I doubt it, I know which I'd rather have and he paid less than that!

Yes, I'm happy with my Schreibmaschine. I'm thinking of going with that as a name (Alpina used to make typewriters when Rudolf (Burkard's dad) ran the company). That chugger has the TV screen, probably the only thing I'm jealous of.

Right, I'm now training to be an Alpina anorak so....

It's actually a D10 (as mine is a B10) and has 238BHP; 0-100kph in 7.0s (autocar did 6.5s 0-60mph in a saloon). Not much Touring talk out there as so few were made.

This guy has used the D5 data auto-fill from Autotrader and that has given him the later model figures. Which is lying.
Roadsterstu

Looking back on it, the figures do seem rather optimistic. And D10 makes sense rather than D5.
