A random wildlife shot

Seeing as I appear to have created two airshow threads, here's a picture of Henry the Heron at a local small loch.



Taken today, about 20 minutes before the heavens opened . .

This is really Amazing Photography... Can u please suggest  some tips to keep in mind when doing wildlife photography?

Cheers for that, though it isn't as good as I'd like.

Main tips would be; get the best camera, but more importantly the best, biggest focal length lens, you can. My go-to lens where practicable is my Tamron 150-600mm, though that's pretty expensive.

Then practice with them, a lot - the good thing about digital is it doesn't cost anything to see your photos! Get to know a bit about the subject, and go for it.
