2 Series Grand Touring

Another Bowker of Preston e-mail, this time it's the 7 seat 2 Series Grand Touring - these are obviously proving very popular (not) with the 216D being offered at 999 deposit and 249/mth, the 220i at 1999 deposit and 299/mth or the 220D XDrive at 1000 deposit and 329.96/mth

All of them are on 0% apr!
Big Blue

No surprises there. This car is not for the UK market perception of BMWs.

The MPV is dying a slow painful death and BMW didn't see it. Most mummies buy an SUV to take little Jasper to his school 5 mins walk from their fucking house...

Just a shift in the market, meanwhile loads of old people are selling their 5 series and getting a 2 seris as it's easier to get in/out off (my Dad now has a 3 series convertible and an A class, you can guess which gets used the most).

Older people don't need the 7 seat version though.

The 5-seater seems to be a big seller in Germany, but I've seen very few of the 7-seater. The Germans also seem to like that odd 3-series GT hatchback.

Fools! Good job they have an X2 coming so they have an SUV.
Martin

Isn't the mummy requirement covered by the X1?  A colleague has just got a high spec one and it's a huge improvement on the old one.
PhilD

Oh yeah forgot about the X1.

And the X3, X4, X5 and X6. But still, fools!
Michael

X7 coming soon with the whole range bookended with the Mini Countryman and forthcoming Rolls Royce SUV.
They have no idea.
