12.41.She finally made her appearance on Saturday 16th at the time above. The contractions started at 4 am and by 11am it was clear that a move to the hospital was needed. It's about 14 miles to the main Sprog delivering place I now know that a hectic drive with a pregnant women in some pain doesn't lend itself to the comfort settings of an RS
We parked up and the entrance was about 80yards away, out of the car another contraction!!......Into the ward..into a room.........................
BOOSH!.....15 minutes later..hello Millie.I've taken some photos and when I've had a kip and work out the settings on this new computer I'll load them up if that's tickerdy boo with you guys (And girls).

My wife would agree with that! Although, I take it the staff are fairly busy I was taken aback by them not checking the baby (Fingers, toes etc etc)and them forgetting to 'Tag' the baby as we were about to head up to post-natal.
"Where's the baby's security tags then"
"Hasn't she been tagged"?
"Errrr nope!"
I waited an hour before I took it on myself to weigh the baby, something they failed to mention until we left?????
6LBS 6OZS.
I'm not finding fault here, but she was delivered inbetween shift changovers and no doubt they've worked godknows how many hours.

Christ on a bike...I'm knackered. Having two little ones does stretch ones patience....I've even loaded up the car with the pair of them and drove earlyhours into the countryside.
After a couple of miles a quick look in the rearview mirror had the oldest..@catching flies@ the other daughter I had to check pulling into a rubble strewn layby and checking....Fast asleep. So I just drove around with no destination in mind just listening to the cd and being amazed into the tag of us being a overcrowed isle...Not where I live anyway! The early morning sun punctured the sea of darkness with the birds churping another day of toll.............
I love cars.

Congratulations! Only just found your post buried away in this section. Ours is now 3 days overdue and I am jumpy whenever the phone rings!! I have a feeling we may see some movement tonight, however...
And I have plans for drives in the wee small hours to settle him/her...

I buried it here as the other members may not want to hear about the test drive and handling of the latest offering from the buggy dept. Millie decided that an extra 4 days was an adequate time frame before 'popping in'...
Hope the moment is getting near Stu....Fingers crossed...nowt else though.

Yay, congratulations Mr and Mrs Apex, and welcome to the world Millie! 4 days over is pretty good going, and she's a good weight too. Must admit all that hospital malarkey terrifies the life out of me, being shoved from place to place, shift changes etc. Glad you took the initiative and weighed her yourself! Hope everything's going swimmingly at home.
