I have maybe 20 Fishbone records right back to the very first from about, what, 1982? Big, big Tackhead fan, too. Saw them many times. Le Blanc is a brilliant player and great musician in general. So, 90s albums I've bought in the last few years that I like: Nirvana - In Utero Pulp - Different Class System of a Down - System of a Down Blur - Parklife Radiohead - OK Computer I find In Utero to knock shades out of Nevermind as a whole and mostly prefer Bleach to it, too. _________________ Small car, big heart. I got In Utero about 12 years ago, then gave it away as it was largely unlistenable tripe. There are a few good tunes on it, but it strikes me as Kurt making it as dirgy as possible just to prove a point. Nevermind was good, but nowhere near as good as it's made out to be. TBH I like Truth and Soul, Reality of My Surroundings and Give a Monkey a Brain equally. I think Fishbone's earliest release was the Party at Ground Zero EP in '84/'85. The first album was 'Fishbone' in '86 although it was re-released in '89 with another EP on it. I've seen Fishbone 4 times and they are possibly the best live act I've seen. The first time I saw them was in '92 and the last was last year at King Tut's where they were filming it too. The DVD has yet to materialise - maybe you should get on the case Shame it's only Angelo and Norwood left from the original line up I think the songwriting also took a down turn with the departure of Kendal Jones but the most recent LPs have had a few great tracks on them too. _________________ It's so cold right now that I'm thinking of catching gonorrhoea just for the burning sensation.
