But which is uglier?
Colin thinks this is prettier (less ugly)
than this tat, which I think is slightly better.
Sorry it's the only picture I have of the Toyota.
OMG they are both horrible. |

The Monte seems to be paying a piss-poor homage to the beautiful 70s versions, so for that, it's more of a fraud. _________________

I'd say the Toyota was more actively ugly, the Chevy is less ugly on account of being more boring but that doesn't make it forgivable.
It's too close to call so I vote option 3, aka a draw. _________________ Generic reply key:

As few of you will have been "privileged" to see a Solara in the metal, I thought a couple more pictures might help you to decide here:

It looks like a poor copy of the Lexus SC430, which itself isn't exactly elegant to begin with. _________________ On the other side of the world - Hurlecot de Millou

Weirdly, there was Cadillac BSE, or whatever it's called, parked outside my house yesterday morning. Then I saw another about two hours later about 500 yards further up the road. Is this a UK record? _________________ I don't want to achieve immortality through my work. I want to achieve it through not dying. |

Got to be. I've seen two on different days and about 10 miles from each other and that was a surely just a coincidence. _________________

I saw a few Solaras while in California in November and, well, I didn't think it looked to bad, for its genre.
So sue me. _________________ I don't want to achieve immortality through my work. I want to achieve it through not dying. |

That is truly awful. Anonymous, amorphous and way too long in the passenger compartment to look right. The septics are amazingly undemanding in automotive terms.
In fact, the wilting, post-tumesence of the 'ends' (fnarr fnarr) looks almost apologetic. _________________ "Accident Blackspot"? These aren't accidents. They're throwing themselves into the road gladly. Throwing themselves into the road to escape all this hideousness.'

The Monte is a poor take on the Prelude, the Solara is too... too... too...
