| I thought Brera as well, while the extra side window has a hint of Avantime about it. |

See what you mean, is this by that ex Alfa chap? either Zapatinas or Egger went to Subaru, can't remember which. _________________ A Gentleman: Def: A male of the species who can play the Trombone.

Mr G did do the Brera, the original very good looking one. Various Alfa bods then transmogrified it into what we have now, they are still arguing as to who. Think it was more Egger than Mr Z.
The nose treatment just doesn't do anything for me on this concept, pretty nondescript. _________________ A Gentleman: Def: A male of the species who can play the Trombone.

I like that, which is not something I've said about a Subaru for a wee while now.
Can't agree with DC - nothing on it reminds me of a Lexus (on this occaision!) _________________

Side on looks nice but I think Subaru need to let go of their idea of a corporate grille before they'll get a nice looking front.
Good job it's got a hatch as it will be the only exit for passengers once it's parked in Tescos car park. _________________ Andrew L |

I think that's true for most firms these days. I blame the Rover 800 facelift. |

I don't like that - it looks like a concept that would have been in Autocar when I first started buying it - around 1988.
When was the last time the Japanese designed a truly pretty car? |

They generally get their coupes more or less right. I think both 350Z and 370Z are attractive cars. |

I'd say wait for the Lexus LF-A. Long time coming, but it looks awesome in the metal. _________________ On the other side of the world - Hurlecot de Millou

| Is this at all related to the Toyobaru concept that Toyota are showing and that Subaru seem to have no planned showing for their version? It could almost be a stretch version of that based on the shape. |

It'll be interesting to see how much room that door needs, and if it's possible to get out of it in a tight parking space. _________________ woof woof's defence lawyer claimed that "Booze played no part in his typo's."

Looks good from some angles but it really isn't nice from the rear - and the exhausts are just stupid. |

Since the door appears to be hinged near the centre of the roof, it probably needs only a few inches, to the side of the car, to open. Whether it would hit the ceiling of a multi-storey car park is another matter and, like the new Merc SLS, reaching it from a seated position would also be something of a stretch. |

Seems quite retro in some respects, and gull-wing doors just aren't Subaru IMHO. I also don't like the grille - far too big for the car I feel. Quite like the overall shape though, Megane-like or not, it''s still better looking than the current Impreza. _________________ Just keepin' on keeping on. |

It should have done really, but I think they were conventional. They did have fixed, flush windows with smaller opening panes though. |

As said above it looks like a Brera from the side (especially the back lights) but from the front it looks pretty generic for every 'futuristic coupe showcar'.
Stick almost any other manufacturers badge on it and you would accept it. |

Exactly what I thought. It looks like everyone else's concept car from a few years back. It is, however, significantly better than the shameful new Legacy I see every morning outside our local Subaru dealer. _________________ "Whatever is rightly done, however humble, is noble." Henry Royce |
