Okies, I'll start the new ball rolling - (Not vain, not vain)

Jase, Mechanical Design Engineer in Nottingham,

After my one and only ten mile run -

Me and Mrs S on the best day of my life. Juggsy. Note the speedo and fuel tank cufflinks.

Mrs S again, rubbish camera pic. (the pic, not Mrs S)

For Mike; the blonde in the black dress - if you look closely under my feet you can see the small of her back when she was my footstool in the Pit and Pendulum in Nottingham.

wondering where your engine has gone ??? its so wee...!(like I can talk)

honest, there is an engine in there...

A familiar refrain in a frogeye owning household...although I took it out again at the weekend and it was fine, so maybe I shouldn't disparage it too much

this is a 'simpsonized' me:

which is pretty accurate I think:

This was taken about 5 years ago, don't really do photos of me!

Sky - The problem seems to be that the white balance is out and there a bit of noise other than that the shutter speed may have been a little slow. Allow me to make a slight change -

alan, it was taken with a 2meg camera phone, as was the first pic, can't remember if I used flash (no jokes) but the room was fairly dark so that may explain the quality. And I was probaby still shaking   But thank you for the advice.

I'm a prolific buyer of second-hand cars and a sometime finance lawyer. I'm from Suffolk originally but currently live in Moscow.

To feed the stereotype about me, this is me in casual weekend gear last summer, with a usefully disguising pair of dark glasses:

Thanks. Try vintage clothes shops if you want something similar - that morning suit was made for my father in 1973 and thus is several years older than me. It's a fraction small these days.

Oh my. We're supposed to talk about ourselves?

I'm so caught up with the whole photo thing that I forgot.

Anyway:

My name is Ben (as you can deduce). I'm nearly 21 (2nd Feb!) and currently lazing my arse off at home whilst awaiting enlistment to National Service in Singapore, which is where I am. Although I am interested in joining the Navy as a means of 'escaping' the silly military work and doing something different. I have an interview this coming Thursday so we'll see how it goes.

It's innocent! It was for a dare - she was being my footstool and ashtray holder

Some bloke from the facesinplaces website was wondering around the pub and asked if he could take a photo.

I just can't get enough of Land Rovers or blue jumpers!

I think maybe I was running over a rambler in that picture...

Here is Martin, although as you can see due to his enthusiastic driving, the picture is a bit blurry   Nice blue jumper!

I am struggling to post a picture I can't get it to work at the moment and I haven't a clue why.

I'm 33 and sell Renaults, for my sins!, and have done so for almost 6 years with a couple of short spells in between at MINI and Vauxhall, I hated both.

I have been in the trade for almost 12 years staring off in parts and have also worked for Suzuki Cars and VW.

I have two lovely daughters and have been with their mum, Tina, for 16 odd years and we are finally tieing the knot this year on New Years eve.

One last mention for Humphrey, my lovely Pug, who is six.

On the whole Parts guys are wankers, they have no urgency in anything they do and delight in being as difficult as possible asking for info they don't really need etc, and old school parts guys who have done it all their life and are now in their fifties, the ones that wear brown stores coats, are even worse, they have no efficient form of communication, no personality and deliight in being miserable and akward.

However our guys are pretty good.

Nothing wrong with a bit of enthusiastic driving!!!

Was that before or after we found an obstacle that the Discovery struggled to cope with?

Don't tell Mike that we were let down off road by a Landrover.....!!

Enthusiastic driving, it looks as if Martin is indulging in some off-road tail sliding action!!

And did Piers have a wardrobe change inbetween those pictures?

I'm not listening Martin...La La La La La La La.

We were encouraged to press on, the instructor was excellent and he let us do more than we expected from a half day introduction.  If you fanny about off road you're more likely to get stuck!
